In the Pursuit of Eden: A Treasure Hunt Suspense (True Treasure Romance Book 1) Kindle Edition

Everyone wants to find Eden’s Paradise, except me.

Aiden Hunter's a southern hottie that's rescued me so many times that it's starting to get embarrassing. To be honest, I'd be more grateful if I didn't suspect him of putting me in danger in the first place—a danger that keeps growing the closer I get to him.

When my twin brother, Brecker, told me about a new lead in the Uintas to find the treasure that's been haunting our family for generations, the only thing forcing me to tag along is bad luck--
PURE bad luck! That family curse we like to joke about is starting to feel horribly real.

Now I'm hiking through untamed wilderness to shoot a documentary that I care nothing about, searching for clues in the journal of a wayward saloon girl, whose life mirrors my own in uncomfortable ways, and I keep running into that smug, smirky Aiden when I need his help most of all. Don't get me wrong--he makes for some great eye candy with those hazel eyes... and maybe I melt a little when I hear that husky drawl of his, but I know when a man is trying to distract me from the truth.

But what is the truth?

The only way to find it is to join up with that bad boy. Aiden is fighting demons in his past that seem tangled up in mine. What secrets is he hiding behind his teasing words? The uneasy truce is quickly turning into something more... because Aiden may not be the enemy. In fact, he may be the one who needs rescuing.

Now, I've got to figure out who's really good and who's really bad. Strangely, the mystery behind this treasure might very well lie behind a pair of beautiful hazel eyes and a husky drawl.

After all, Paradise was never meant to be found alone.

What a wonderful adventurous mystery! When Ivy lost her job, she joins her twin brother on a treasure hunt. They would be looking for answers to their dad’s disappearance while looking for the same treasure he had been seeking when he died. After arriving they find another group of treasure hunters doing the same and being led by Aiden Hunter. The question is whether or not Aiden Hunter is their friend or enemy?

I was surprised to get so involved that I would pick it up in the middle of the night if I couldn't sleep. I couldn't imagine what was going to happen next and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have read nearly everything that Stephanie has written and loved it all. This book was quite different from the others she has written. It is more of a treasure hunters story with romance mixed in. But the story would not have been the same without the romance. There were some things that I had guessed correctly but there was quite a bit that I hadn’t figured out. Ivy and Hunter were fun characters. One minute they were getting along the next they were plotting on how to out fox the other. There was definitely a rivalry and attraction between the two of them.

This book was fantastic. I hesitated to read it because one of the reviews I saw used the word scary, and I hate scary. It didn't take long for me to get into the story, and yes, I was a bit anxious as I read along. I loved this story completely, and I was so glad I took a chance to step outside my comfortable genre. Great characters, intriguing plot, and lots to ponder that lay below the surface. I will definitely read another Stephanie Fowers book.

I read every Stephanie Fowers book I can get my hands on. So I bought the paperback as soon as it was available and then the Kindle add-on so I could get started right away. I love the depth and weave of a longer novel (by today's e-romance standards), instead of just "walking into" the story for the height of the romance. The setting for this book was unexpected and unusual, which I loved. Stephanie writes banter-y dialogue (my favorite) and realistic relationships. This book kept me guessing, and I was delighted that I got some of them right. Now, to re-read Out of the Mouth of Babes!

I loved this book! Such a fun adventure with just enough romance mixed in to keep it interesting. I loved the mystery aspect of it all too and how the story kept you guessing of what would come next! It almost made me want to go hiking (and I don't hike!) or at least go on my own adventure. A great read that was hard to put down! I received a free copy of this book for a fair and honest review but I also bought a copy.

Adventure, treasure, ancient symbols, curses, betrayal, romance. This book had it all. I loved Hunter and Ivy, and the old men from the Grizzly Bear. The old men made for a funny peanut gallery, and group of matchmakers. Ivy and Hunter had great chemistry, along with the “can I trust him or her?” dilemma going on. My only complaint was at 390 pages, the story dragged on a bit for me in the middle.
