David Yow was having brunch outside at a little restaurant near his home in California recently when a Jaguar pulled up. Out stepped Billie Eilish. “I was so starstruck, I was hyperventilating,” he says on a phone call. “She walked, like, inches behind me into the restaurant. No makeup, nothing fancy, just Billie Eilish. I couldn’t believe it. I wanted to tell her how great she is, but [stars] get that shit so often, so I didn’t bother her.”

Nobody’s favorite Queen album is their 1973 self-titled debut. And Queen has agreed until now.
Half a century after its release, the group is reissuing the album with a completely rebuilt remix that it hopes will do justice to the rest of the songs. The reissue, due Oct. 25, has a new track list and has been packaged into a lavish edition with alternative takes, demos, and live recordings — including audio from Queen’s first concert in 1970. A track off the reissue, “The Night Comes Down,” will premiere on Friday.

Tommy Harper is used to getting phone calls featuring unusual requests. His phone might ring and it’s Tom Cruise and Joseph Kosinski asking him to figure out how to film Top Gun: Maverick in real jets. Or J.J. Abrams is on the line, asking how to bring the massive crew of a Star Wars movie to a remote island in Ireland. Maybe it’s Tim Burton, wanting help choreographing an off-kilter musical number for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
“You’re like, ‘Ok, that’s a puzzle I have to figure out,’’ says Harper. “I love receiving those phone calls.”
Just like characters in movies he’s worked on, Harper is used to journeying to strange new worlds, and he prides himself on the end goal of “having the audience sit in a cinema, turn off the lights and be transported for two hours.”

Sex Pistols played the first of three reunion shows at West London’s Bush Hall on Tuesday night (August 13th), featuring classic members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook performing with singer Frank Carter in place of Johnny Rotten. The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is now right on our doorstep. Organized by the European Broadcasting Union (Ebu), the Eurovision Song Contest is the most famous, extravagant music competition in existence with various European countries competing to be crowned the year’s winner and host the next year’s competition.
Before the grand final, however, two semi-finals take place. The top 10 in each semi-final then go through to the final, where they are joined by the host country (the winner of the previous year) and the Big Five — who all qualify automatically. Then, each country performs and vies for votes.
After the performances, every member of the Ebu dials in and dishes out 1-8, 10, and 12 points to their favorite songs – with the points decided via a combination of public votes and jury decisions in each country. Whichever country amasses the most points wins.
The two semi-finals took place earlier this week on May 7 and May 9, respectively,...

That’s quite a unique approach! Camila Cabello is known for her fiery passion both on and off the stage, and it appears that the way she handles relationships is no exception. The pop sensation has recently spoken out about her views on break-up s*x, revealing that she doesn’t see any issue with indulging in a steamy rendezvous with her ex—but only with a certain condition.
The singer-songwriter, 27, revealed in a candid interview for the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast that she is fine with having breakup s*x as long as it is done with a mindset of growth and self-reflection. Cabello emphasized that she is not interested in engaging in physical intimacy with an ex-partner simply for the possibility of rekindling her relationship.

The ongoing Motörhead live recording series, The Löst Tapes, is being collected on a new eight-disc CD box set arriving February 23rd. In addition, a fifth volume in the series, Live at Donington Download Fest ’08, has been announced as part the box set and as a standalone vinyl release.
The Motörhead camp launched The Löst Tapes series in 2021, restoring previously unreleased Motörhead concert recordings sourced from cassette tapes discovered in the archives of the late Lemmy Kilmister.
“[Cassettes] were a standard part of every tour … Motörhead were certainly no exception, recording show after show,” read the press release for the box set. “They contain gold, pure aural gold, and had for many years sat hundreds of feet underground in a small cave Lemmy owned, guarded by small, hairy centurions in Roman armor with small spears and bad attitudes. January 1999. One quarter of a century ago. I attended the Golden Globe Awards for the first time (as an accredited member of the press) — and it was a night that I’ll never forget.
Interestingly enough, the most memorable moment of the night for me wasn’t having Best TV Supporting Actress co-winner Camryn Manheim (“The Practice”) quiz me on lines from 1997’s hit comedy “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.”
Rather, it was when I was practically escorted out of the backstage press room for expressing my shock when Lauren Bacall announced Jim Carrey as the year’s Best Drama Actor for “The Truman Show,” beating out the likes of Tom Hanks in “Saving Private Ryan,” Ian McKellen in “Gods and Monsters” and Nick Nolte in “Affliction.” (My money had been on McKellen.)

The Armed have released a new album called Perfect Saviors. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.
As the self-described “World’s Greatest Band,” it’s not surprising that The Armed would have some pretty strong words to say about the environment that inspired their next album. “Too much information has made us dumb and confused,” singer Tony Wolski offered in a statement. “Too many ways to connect have inadvertently led to isolation. And too much expectation has forced everyone to become a celebrity. Predictable primal dangers have given way to newer social ones. And the result is a world that is confounding and terrifying — but ultimately still beautiful. We hope this record is exactly all of that, too.
