It had everything to be the kind of book I would love, but it’s not. The whole mystery is actually bland, fast but bland. So simple. I have to admit that the writing it’s really great, but I couldn’t care less about every character....more

This time I felt different, so different that I couldn’t write this review more 15 hours ago, I still had a lot to process, I needed to think more about them, I felt the need to feel more obsessed with them. Nick felt like he was the classic jerk, and damn... I’m glad I was wrong, he’s just the guy who pretends to be a little bad, but he’s the sweetest man ever to the woman he loves so deeply, the kind of man you can call as the man of your dreams, the man you want to date someday. He’s so perfect. Taylor, Taylor... Did I felt some emotional details about her similar to my beloved Penelope? Yes, I did. That’s why I loved it so much, it’s the reason felt a bit personal, also the bickering... I wouldn’t resist either. I really understand Taylor in every aspect, even in those I have no idea about how much it affects you, and yet I felt like it was happening to me. I connected a lot with her, I really love her. And the last chapters? Oh my God, Nick! Are you trying to kill me? You acted like the most classic jerk ever due to your trauma, and then you got the second chance to fix everything, and he did. That man is so perfect, yeah... sometimes he makes mistakes, everyone makes mistakes, but he’ll fix it. You guys don’t understand him like I do. I’m really sad this is the penultimate book of this series, I’m not ready to say goodbye to the world of Oxford/Stilleto, I love all of them, they’re one family full of friends who are much more than just friends, they’re family, and my newest emotional support family....more

The slowburn mixed with enemies to lovers with the second chance trope, that was perfect and screamed Mariana’s rights. He knew since the dinner and kept doing questions, that’s why he let her try again with Sir! He was being his own cupid. OH MY GOD IM ALMOST CRYING WITH SO MUCH CUTENESS.

During the first 230 pages I was sure that I would rate it with 4 stars, but at a certain point when the story was moving towards the conclusion, unfortunately it became a little uninteresting, which is why I'm rating it with 3 stars, but my true rating is 3.5. I'm looking forward to knowing how the adaptation will turn out....more
I’ll be very honest, never had high expectations because didn’t seemed like I could actually love this, and well.. I’m partly right about it. SlowburnI’ll be very honest, never had high expectations because didn’t seemed like I could actually love this, and well.. I’m partly right about it. Slowburn is my thing, I love some really good slowburn but this one isn’t for me, obviously there’s the buzz, and for me almost didn’t existed. During one week I wondered if I would rate with 2,5 stars or three stars, but thankfully the last two chapters saved the book and I loved it! Actually, it was the only chapters I actually cared about the couple, because I felt there’s no good development, there’s too focus about their work, and almost nothing about their incredible and complicated partnership, that later turns out to be they’re insanely in love with each other. Now one last thing, I promise it’s the last thing. Why they described Ivan’s dick like that? Really? There’s so many words to describe it, and the chosen one is literally the one that could be accepted in some mediocre romance with questionable quality....more
