***A Domino Anthology: 13 Authors ONE story***

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

The book is sooooo Funny. Had me smiling, laughing all over !
It's a risky business writing Domino anthology . But put 13 of the best authors together and it seems like a piece of cake
The story is about Verity Michele who works in Sales Exportt , under Larold Lay.
This guy is a piece if work. He's kinky and weird
Dude's got issues, This guy's issues have issues !
He has packages delivered to him daily and the Bike Messenger is none other than the Hooded Hunk - Tattoo aka Hudson Finn.
she'd met him when they shared a cab together and he hijacked the cab And her senses one day .
She can't stop thinking about him #PoundHudson style !!
But she's scared he's a Felon, cause he's Tatted . And oh My goodness pierced ...there ...down below!!!
The story is very easy, very very funny, chapters flow seemlessly.
Pardon me for being a huge Helena fan so I'm kinda biased but she DOES write some of the bestest lines
The position hiked his pants up, creating a moose knuckle at his crotch
She opened it and set the girls free. They were like homing devices for Hudson’s hands.

Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha......
Nina Bocci ---> Maybe it’s the cock talking, but I think my common sense got knocked out of place. Or maybe into place? #PoundSense #NewWomanNewPerspective
Leisa Reyvan ---> Happiness is being happy with who you are. Then you find the other half of your heart as a reward #RewardIsAlsoSex
And did I mention this book got my panties twisted and wet
yeah like --> Betty-Crocker-Super-Moist-cake ready WET

The heroine: Verity Michaels - works for a guy named Larold Lay who is quite a character. He likes to drop his pen on the floor and make her bend over to pick it up. He also gets deliveries on a regular basis from a bike messenger service.

The Hero(es): Hudson Fenn - works for a bike messenger service. Delivers strange bedazzled packages to Larold Lay on a daily basis.

The Story: Verity shares a cab with a tattooed hot guy, who steals the cab while she is in it. She later meets the Tattooed guy at her office when he delivers a package to her boss. She meets him a few times after that in odd circumstances and they go on a date.

This was an odd one, each chapter written by a different author. Authors like Vi Keeland, Tijan, Penelope Ward, JM Darhower and Helena Hunting to name a few. I like this idea, it made for a corny but surprisingly good story.

The story is intermingled with witty tweets and funny hashtags as Verity posts to her twitter feed on a regular basis without any filter. A lot of references to the package that her boss gets daily because verify is dying to know what is inside. When Hudson starts tweeting back, it is fantastic! I followed them both on Twitter.

This was told from Verity’s POV and the narrator was a woman, Rose Dioro. I have heard her before, she is good at the rom-com narration. She has a nice voice and I enjoyed listening to this one. I am liking audiobooks more an more lately. I don’t have to stop reading to do things. This was a perfect book to listen to while multi-tasking. Very light and humorous, while Hudson was super sexy and the intimate scenes were scorchingly hot!

Like many, this book intrigued me. This collaborative approach to writing: 13 authors, one story, each author writing a chapter or two and then passing it onto the next, could have flopped or been wildly entertaining. In this case, the latter prevailed.

Verity Michaels is stuck in an office job where her boss is a creep, she's overworked and her dreams of being a photographer seem to be just that, only a dream. Little does she know, one fateful ride would change her life. It all starts with sharing a cab with a hot, tatted stranger .

She ends the ride intrigued and also a bit skeptical as the sexy stranger's actions has her jumping to conclusions of his life as a felon. As fate would have it, Mr. Tattooed would-be-felon, aka Hudson Fenn, comes into Verity's office and her life.

 photo FEA_zpsjn17s3nk.jpg

Verity can't deny that Hudson makes her girl parts swoon and despite her snap judgments, there's more to this guy than meets the eye. A courtship, mystery and hilarious twitter banter ensues as these two get to know each other better.

This was a refreshing, lighthearted and fun read and while towards the end, things got a bit outlandish, this worked. And on top of an enjoyable read, I also discovered some new authors that I'll definitely be checking out.

A crazy sweet, sexy and smile inducing. #cantStopReading #dontWantItToEnd touching and hilarious book you won’t want to miss!

After a failed attempt at a career in photography, Verity Michaels moved from Florida to New York to get a “real” job according to her father. Even though her receptionist position at SalesExportt.com is not her dream job and her boss is a bit weird, she likes being economically independent and living in a city where anything can rhappen, even having a tattooed hottie “borrow” a taxi from its road rage filled fdriver while she’s still in it. Now that she’s crossed paths with the possible criminal, she can’t take her mind off of him and he seems to pop up everywhere.
“You did steal a cab on Friday.”
“Again, I rescued you from a crappy situation. Total white knight, remember?”

Even though she’s been able to find out his name is Hudson Fenn, the jury is still out on his felonious status. He’s a bike messenger that lives like a Wall Street banker. He looks hard and rough around the edges, evidence seems to indicate he’s sweet enough to help old ladies cross the street or deliver their prescriptions. In brief, he’s a complete mystery that makes her feel alive. Can they trust each other and open up enough to give their budding romance a chance?
“You’re a total criminal, aren’t you?” she asked…
“Have I stolen your heart yet? … Don’t answer… I won’t take it until you give it freely.”

Oh boy, where to start?! There are so many things I’d like to comment about this book, but I’ll start with mentioning that I loved the idea behind its creation. Thirteen writers building off each other to create a single smooth flowing story is incredibly creative and original.
Husdon Fenn @tatwhiteknight. Just so you know, 140 characters isn’t enough space to tell you how amazing I think you are.

This inventive experiment, which in my opinion turned out great, had me intrigued, but the mystery behind the packages and the hero, the flirty duels between Hudson and Verity and those fun and witty Twitter posts had me absorbed from start to finish.

Hudson was completely swoon worthy. Even though he’s secretive, vanishes at the oddest of times and his lifestyle seems to be completely at odds with his job, he’s charming, confident and sexy. I loved that he wooed her and was kind, thoughtful and sweet. He’s a wonderful white knight in tattooed armor with a heart-wrenching back story. His Twitter handle was totally appropriate @tatwhiteknight. And I loved him more with each layer he revealed especially his Star Wars geekyness!
Verity Michaels@VerityPics03
Strangest first date ever. #SmoothCriminal #KissMeAgain #WhyPussyFeathers

Hudson Fenn@tatwhiteknight
When someone says FIRST date, that means they want more. #IWantMore #Honeybee
#BecauseILikeToMakeHerSmile

Verity has some trust issues, and for a while she couldn’t see passed Hudson’s admittedly sexy tattoos and dubious law abiding status. But she’s strong, feisty and totally funny jumping to outrageously wrong conclusions. And she Twitted… A LOT! Which landed her very sticky situations for her, laugh out loud moments for me.
“You were tweeting again… If you want to know how far my tattoo extends, why don’t you just ask?”

The banter between Hudson and Verity was quick, slick and witty whether it was face to face, via text or Twitter. These two were hilarious and just flat out adorable. Oh and did I mention their chemistry was hot and sexy?

There were many other aspects I liked. What was up with those enigmatic boxes Verity’s boss kept getting?! I had no clue and enjoyed the surprise when we do finally find out what they are. I think that the fact that this story was written by many authors I know and love just made it more.

Felony Ever After is a single, standalone, romantic comedy written by thirteen fabulous authors. It includes nonstop smiles, laughs, bushes and giggles. I completely loved this book and I hope Verity’s friend Angie gets her own story in this same arrangement.

Extra fun things about the book:
The book has its own pretty great website: http://www.salesexportt.com/
The characters have their awesome twitter accounts: @VerityPics03 and @tatwhiteknight

Creation of such a book -13 Authors, 1 story- is an amazing idea. I think it came out really great. It is remarkable, hilarious and lustful story. It doesn't have an ordinary plot, you need to approach this with an open mind and you will have lots of fun.

It begins in the usual, unusual way (at the end of this story you won't find anything unusual in this beginning simply). Verity creepy and weird boss kept her working late and she instead of subway picks taxi to get back home. Just to let another creepy tattooed man stopped her at the car door, and wants to share the ride. During the road when the taxi driver stuck and argues with another driver, handsome stranger jumps into the steering wheel of the taxi... and takes her home. Horrified of her desire for him and an unviable adventure with a stolen taxi she will be even more freaked out when he appears in her office as a new bike messenger with a mysterious box.

Hudson Fenn isn't only tattoo bike messenger. He hides some secrets that you have to discover yourself. He is a prince charming and a bad boy in one person. Is it really possible to resist? I don't think so! Verity is an hilarious character, and her posts on Twitter are simply the best. Their common chemistry flashed from the beginning, and then it only got better. Hot scenes are off the charts. And I found their relationship really enjoyable ride.

“Are we breaking into somewhere else, Tattoo? I swear you’re determined to give me a Felony Ever After.”

Then there are great secondary characters and, of course, a sparkly box. It only makes the reading even more addictive. And if you ever have any doubts about what a shortcut VIP means, here it is explained very well and in an interesting way.

“VIP — Very Impatient Pussy.”

It develops in an unexpected and surprising way, the merit of so many people who write the story, you never know what to expect in the next chapter and the ending is impossible to predict. Therefore, in my opinion, good advice is not to treat this story too seriously. The authors jump in ideas and pull such a web, that each next chapter is more difficult to untangle and to predict. I really admire those who had to get out of certain situations. And it really was entertaining to read and see how they handle it.

My personal feeling is that the more scene after scene was a direct continuation of the moment, it made reading better and better. I am happy to read more such books in the future.

When I realized thirteen authors collaborated on a book I didn’t think anything of it, but when I realized it was ONE story, well I had to see how this would work out.

Felony Ever After is written by thirteen awesome authors, each chapter is written by a different author (some write multiple chapters). What I love best about this is that you know who wrote each chapter and to my surprise the writing flowed and it sounded like it came from one person. The book was passed from on author to the next with a rough out-line of the story. So each chapter has its own personality.

Verity is a single gal in New York. She hates her job, but loves to do photography on the side. She dates safe guys, guys with no tattoos and steal taxi cabs.

Hudson is a guy that gets judged easily. He has tattoos all over his body as in neck and hands. He also has piercings, some you see and some you don’t. The thing about Hudson is that he looks like the bad boy, but he’s really not. He’s a nice guy with a great body and maybe he may steal a taxi cab.

When Verity and Hudson randomly shares a taxi cab, Verity is nervous as heck. She sees that Hudson is good looking, but he’s not the guy for her. Because of a certain situation, Hudson goes for harmless joyride in the taxi cab. It’s really funny.

I think that is the cutest meet-cute and it kind of sets up how they see each other. Verity is a judgmental girl. She doesn’t want anything to do with Hudson, yet she can’t stop thinking about him. I liked Verity but I wasn’t fond that she liked his tattoos but she didn’t want to go out with him. She kind of lets society dictates how she feels.

I really liked Hudson. He’s sweet, funny and charming. He has his secrets and is closed off, which makes Verity question him a bit, but his kindness kind of overpowers all of that. But he’s no pushover and I love it when he can go cave-man like.

The overall story is comical and amusing, the tension and angst is mild, but there is enough to keep you interested. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, especially Verity’s boss and I applaud the author that developed that storyline.

So if you are a curious cat like me and you like at least one of these authors, you need to check out this book because it’s one of a kind.

❝ Some white knights have tattoos, princess.❞

Hilariously funny, a social experiment gone right! ‘Felony Ever After’ had me laughing out loud, feeling like a detective and swooning all at the same time.

The Challenge: “Pass one chapter to the next author with just the vaguest of outlines to work from and see what emerged.”

13 authors participated. Each with their own writing style, each with their own ideas, each having to write their chapter(s) so that they gel with those before them, and set the groundwork for those that follow.

My greatest fear and query was would each author stay true to the characters of Hudson and Verity? The answer to that is an overwhelming YES! Each author met this challenge. And I have to say, I am impressed!

Hudson Fenn aka @tatwhiteknight, aka Tattoo, is a bicycle delivery man with secrets. He rides his bike all over New York delivering packages. He looks like a thug but is charming as hell. He’s rebellious, confident and incredibly sexy.

Verity Michaels, aka @VerityPics03, aka Honeybee, loves photography, but after a failed attempt at running her own photography business, she moves from Florida to New York to work as a receptionist for Larold Lay, a man who belongs locked up in a ward rather than running a business. She is a hilarious and strong woman with trust issues.

These two meet totally by accident. They both leave their separate ways after the encounter and she thinks she will never see him again, only she’s wrong because he shows up that day to deliver a package to her boss!

They start dating and lusting after one another. Hudson is very mysterious, keeping secrets and Verity is a little freaked out that he won’t share more, and she begins inventing “personas” and scenarios to fill the gaps in her knowledge. His secretive behavior throws her trust issues into overdrive!

There is a little mystery involved, and I am not saying anything else about the plot. Because, well, it’s too crazy to share! The boss is nuts!!!

Once Hudson’s secrets are revealed, I was a little underwhelmed because I didn’t think they were any reason to be kept so secretive. I too had developed these ideas as to who and what he was. And I wanted the secrets to be more, I don’t know, exciting?

Cleverly, tweet messages were included in this novel. They left me in hysterics. My son glared at me as he tried to watch the first pre-season baseball game. I couldn't help myself.

@VerityPics03
Honeybee my ass. #HudsonNeedsaPounding

@tatwhiteknight
@VerityPics03 I would #honeybee your ass alllll day. #HudsonWantsToPound

and Verity’s drunk tweets were like the ones I receive from my friends. RECEIVE, I am not guilty, #ISwear!

@VerityPics03
Hello, Vodka. We’re going to be best friends again. #kidding #VodkaIsMyBitch

@VerityMichaels
I’ve never thunk Fireball was a bad idea #RageDrinking

Overall, I LOVED it! What these authors did — with what they were given, was terrific! I found some new (to me) authors I will certainly seek out.

4.5 #HoneyBee STARS!

I never thought to read this. 13 authors wrote 1 story? Hmm... There were some of my fave authors so I decided to read because I need some LOL and curious. The title and blurb sounds promising enough.

Verity Michaels works as receptionist at SalesExportt.com under her pervert boss, Larold S. Lay. But never once in her dream that she shared a cab with a tattooed dude. It was exciting also frightening at once. The weird shit happened so fast in one night and she keeps wondering about him. Who is he? It seems fate has decided to brought them together. The tattooed dude work as bike messenger to delivery packages especially the package for Verity's weird boss. One meet lead to another.

Verity Michaels (unusual name, huh?) is an easily likable character. Smart, fun and independent. I enjoyed her sarcasms very much. She also liked tweeting with hilarious post. She's hard working person even she didn't like her job. Her interest in photography couldn't make living so she accepted the job from her father and ended up with her perv boss.

Hudson Fenn is really a mysterious dude. Yeah, Verity pointed out he's like a stalker. Hudson always showed up in certain places same as Verity, huh. BUT there is something with Hudson made me like him. He's polite like a gentleman and sweet. He didn't bullshit around or sugarcoated words. He is who he is. Never judge a person by the appearance.
“You’re a total criminal, aren’t you?” she asked, but to her surprise, she was grinning ear to ear.
He shook his head. “Have I stolen your heart yet?”
That stopped her cold. She blinked several times. “What?”
“Don’t answer,” he whispered. “I won’t take it until you give it freely.”

description

I loved their interaction. Hudson really made me swoon. He's like an ideal perfect boyfriend. A wildest dream. He always did what he wants and he like Verity. Hudson pursued her in a very smooth way. There is no insta-lust. I really appreciate all his hard work to make Verity fall for him. They're enjoying each other with flirt and tweeting. Beside tattoos, Hudson has some piercing especially in his *cough* penis. GAHHHH!!!

description

I couldn't believe that 13 authors made this one hell of a story. Well-written with smooth plot. Of course the story isn't only about Verity-Hudson's romantic journey also there are some 'events' that I never guess, including her perv boss episode. UGH SHUDDERS! Overall, I really enjoyed FELONY EVER AFTER. Entertaining with laugh and tease. The story fits the name very well. I always have my suspicious about Hudson and I was right. Even he's not my typical alpha male but I liked the positive vibe about him. We all always adored boys with tattoos and piercing, right? ;)

I will be honest with you, when I first heard about this experiment whereby a story is written by 13 different authors, I was hesitant and a bit skeptical as to whether this would work. Luckily, curiousity killed the cat and I signed up for an advanced copy to read, and I am happy to report that, at least for me, it worked tremendously and if you didn't know that the author wrote a chapter each, you wouldn't be able to tell at all.

Verity Michaels is minding her own business one day on her way home from work, when a strange tattooed and badass looking man, jumps in her cab and offers to split it with her. Before she knows it, he turns white knight and criminal in one foul swoop!

Hudson Fenn is used to being judged for his looks, but he is determined to prove to Verity that there is a lot more to him beneath the tats and the intimidating persona. He is a bike messenger by day, but what is he by night?

A very fun read, and although the end part tailed off a little for me, I really enjoyed discovering what secrets Hudson was hiding and laughed out loud at a lot of the humour.

Written by a mix of established and new authors, this was definitely worth the read.

13 writers come together for a crazy project...

FROM THE FOREWORD:

This process started as a wild idea over a year ago and we quickly accumulated the stunning roster of authors you will read in just a few moments. Everyone was a on board for something wickedly different.

The challenge was this:

Pass one chapter to the next author with just the vaguest of outlines to work from and see what emerged. We were guilty of passing a box from one chapter to the next to try and mess with each other. See if you can find out who finally had to handle what was in it.

***********************************************

Well, the above idea sounded interesting to me so I read it without knowing what to expect, really.

The outcome was a very fun book that entertained me a lot!

Do not expect romance, it is all steamy and hot.

description

And it is funny, hilarious even!

Whenever you need a light and fun book with a lot of steam in it, you can give it a chance, it was a 3,5 star read for me...

***********************************************

Writing:

It is written by 13 writers but the writing flows as if written by one person. Each chapter is in harmony with the other, which shows it is well-edited :)

It is told by 3rd person point of view.

***********************************************

Hero & Heroine:

Our main characters are Verity and Hudson.

Verity is a judgemental person and it is annoying at first but she is too sweet to judge (pun intended), so I liked her. She is beautiful with dark hair, grey eyes and a killer body!

Hudson is a tattoed and pierced hottie, who usually wears a beanie. Hudson proves that appearances might me misleading and he turns out to be such a sweetheart.

Their meeting is kind of out of the ordinary. They share a taxi, which is later "borrowed" by Hudson 😊

“Sometimes white knights have tattoos, princess.”

“If you’re out drinking, why did you text me?”

“My phone made me. It held me hostage until I sent you a message.”

“First you steal a taxi, then we break into the Conservatory Garden. Now you’ve impersonated a lawyer. You are the trickiest white knight in the business.”

“Anything for you, baby.”

***********************************************

Use of twitter

Each chapter ends with tweets that I really enjoyed.

Although opening a twitter account with your real name and then telling all about your life, including the intimate details, was kinda stupid and reckless, the fun was in their silliness here 😊

Here are some of those tweets:

Verity Michaels @VerityPics03

AGAIN. Stars

Tell me how this got so many high ratings. I’m waiting. No? Okay, I’ll tell you how I feel.
13 authors getting together and writing 1 story, sounds impossible right? Well, actually it’s not. I think overall this is a fun book. It was funny, mentally hilarious, full of ha, you have got to be kidding me moments.

But it somehow still fell flat for me. Maybe it is true that too many cooks spoil the broth or that Verity is an absolute judgmental cow. Some of the things that she said had me rolling around of the couch.

They were tooshie twins. Caboose compadres. Butt buddies, if you will. This was a tiny piece of him, matched perfectly to a tiny piece of her.

Hudson Finn is one the best heroes for me in this book.

Some of it was so ridiculous and absurd that

 photo eye roll_zpsxmyg3zcf.png

I also felt that time was a wasting for me but at the same time I didn’t want to give up on it because I kind of liked it as well. Some I’m stuck and I like to think that I’m not a quitter so I finished.

Not my brand of whiskey but seeing as I’m in the minority here who gives a shite.

Read it if you like.

Felony Ever After is a novel written by 13 different authors. Some are seasoned pros, some are brand new, so I thought, “How is THAT going to work?”. Each author wrote a chapter (or two) and then passed the story on to the next person. While the concept of a chain story isn’t new, I know I’ve never read a novel like this before. I don’t know how they made it come together, but they pulled it off seamlessly.

The story is about Verity Michaels, a 20-something receptionist trying to make something of herself in New York City. She has great friends, an unnervingly pervy boss, and a habit of picking up the slack at work. One night, after working late, Verity ends up sharing a cab with Hudson Fenn. After a very unexpected evening, hilarity ensues and their rollercoaster relationship begins.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed FEA. It’s light-hearted and fun, with a totally unique storyline. There is also a touch of angst with plenty of steam. I thought the story flowed well, which honestly was a concern of mine from the beginning. Verity and Hudson are hilarious and their banter is awesome. Twitter is featured heavily in the plot, which was another interesting twist. I looked forward to the end of every chapter to see what the characters tweeted and the hashtags are priceless.

I love how this book turned out and I have found some new-to-me authors that I will definitely be adding to my ‘must read’ list. Congratulations to the authors on a job well done!

A book written by 13 different authors intrigued me. This very easily could have been a disaster, but I had to find out for myself. The authors did a great job, because the writing flowed perfectly. This isn't some deep love story. It's light, fun, and a little crazy at times..but that is exactly what it's supposed to be. #Tattoo&Honeybee #4ever

“Who are you? You’re a total criminal aren’t you?”
“Have I stolen your heart yet?”

After a run of heartbreaking and emotional reads we were so in the mood for a bit of slap and tickle – a bit of fun - so we read the synopsis for Felony Ever After and checked out the list of talented authors who contributed to this story, we guessed this would be the one that just might deliver on that! And we’re pleased to say it really did!

We were keen to see how this story would actually play out. After all, with such an array of fabulous authors with such specific voices working on one story, how would it flow? Would each voice be so different that it would take us out of the story?

“Sometimes white knights have tattoos, princess.”

We’ll be honest and say we did worry a little that maybe this wouldn’t work for us for that reason, however we’re thrilled to say this book did flow beautifully, with there being only a couple of chapters where we felt the authors injected their own voice a little too vigorously, and in doing so, changed the voices of Verity and Hudson which we found a bit off-putting. Luckily it was all soon back on track and we were caught up in the story once more.

“So what is it that makes you tick, Hudson?”
“Right now?” he licked his lips. “You.”

There were some bizarre and giggle worthy moments in this story. It was a crazy read as each author was given the task to follow on from the next and when the author before them threw a curve ball or box in this case, it was so much fun to see how the next author would pick it up and run with it.

‘Michaels@VirityPic03 The box is back. What’s in the damn boxes?’

Now, whoever created Hudson Fenn…THANK YOU because we bloody LOVED this tattooed hot boy who possessed a cheeky sweetness, an air of mystery and was as hot as all hell out of and between the sheets. Yup….he was something else! And ummm who wouldn’t want to be hashtag pounded by Hudson?

‘He’s all mysterious and shit. He’s like Batman.’
Verity Michaels was a fab heroine who more than held her own and her workplace felt like a crazier day at The Office than a day at The Office! We loved her character. We also had this strange fascination too with her Boss, Mr Lay. What a character! Bizarre yet we couldn’t help but actually like him. He was a hot weirdo!

We have to give a shout out to Katherine Stevens, an author we haven’t heard of before but whose chapter in particular had us in fits of giggles. You can bet we’ll be 1clicking her upcoming book, Going Down, when it releases this Spring!

Felony Ever After was a hell on wheels taxi ride with lots of hot sex, some crazy funny tweets, a hero to swoon over, some mystery and a bit of ridiculousness. There was a bit of everything in this light-hearted, steamy funny romp that took us in some very whacky directions! We really enjoyed this crazy-arsed ride!

“If you tell me that room I can’t go into at your place is a Red Room of Pain, we’re going to need to stop to buy lube and some Fifty Shades wine.”

This was a fun, no stress read. Verity was quirky, which I loved and Hudson was hot! The boss situation was hilarious. The story flowed nicely considering all the authors involved in this project. I loved the tweets and I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I am now following fictional characters on Twitter.

Straight up, I have not laughed this hard, or this loud in so long. This is the sh!t that would happen to me. But thank the lord I haven’t experienced it all—yet! I really just want to include all the (__) in this review but I’ll refrain… because I don’t want to spoil it for you!

The combination of these authors is #epic! A fabulous storyline, with #humor, #sexytimes, #shenanigans and a bit of #mystery!

Verity Michaels is new to NYC. She found a job and is surviving the day-to-day rat race like most new NY’ers. Until she gets into the cab. Who steals a cab? What is she going to do?

Hudson Fenn is a bike messenger turned cab thief and super-hot tattoo man. Their #antics, #chemistry, #heat, #comedy, and #crazy plays out all over NYC.

Felony Ever After is the whole package. Funny. Sexy. Fun. It’s all the elements that make up a book that you’ll never forget. You will want to read over and over and over again!

It reminds me a bit of the TLC album—CrazySexyCool. Yep, it’s all of those things and more! ~ Heather, 5 LOL stars

~~~
So, what happens when you have a ton of authors (who are each epic in their own way), and you try to throw them off by handing them a chapter full of ridiculousness to elaborate on, and turn into a real story? You get Felony Ever After. One of the funnest (Yes, I am making up words. It was that awesome) books I have ever read.
I loved the fact that at the very beginning, before the story ever starts, there is a page telling you how this all came about. Even though every chapter is written by a different author, the story flowed very well and was not at all choppy. The randomness that was thrown at these ladies was almost above and beyond the level that should have made this book readable, but they did an EPIC job. The characters were so well thought out that you would think this could actually happen to any of us!
And the BOX? Or multiple boxes, I should say. I won’t ruin any surprises or explain anything further, but that one had my jaw on the ground, while my legs were crossed so I didn’t piss myself in public. I also may have had to walk away after a particularly loud snort that may have sounded like the cross between a pig and a cow having an orgy with their barnyard friends…
So…this review is random and crazy, and may give you about 1% insight into this book and why you need to read it, but that’s okay. It’s just preparation for Felony Ever After... ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars
3.5 Stars.
Started off a little bland, but the weirdness and wit ramped it up a notch during the second half and made me smile. I liked that both the hero and heroine felt like equals and that it was so delightfully obscure. The humour was a touch that was really needed to add more to it, the whole thing ended up being quite tongue in cheek. I liked it.
The progress of the chapters & story flowed incredibly well for a book that was written pass the buck style.
One thing though, Debra Anastasia, dude; 'His tongue peeked out of his mouth, and he bit his bottom lip. Verity narrowed her eyes. "Don't distract me with your sex face."'
I made this face. It is not sexy. And it's damn near impossible.
Take 13 different authors, give them a plot, have them write one story and what do you get? A fantastic, laugh out loud read!
Hudson and Verity are now among my top favorite book couples. And Hudson was soooo swoon worthy! He can call me Honeybee any time he wants. I'll never look at a honeybee again without thinking of him.
I really was enjoying the story and each authors' individual writing however, the plot lost my interest and sadly I’m going to be stopping right here.
K...it's your funeral...
First of all I love the whole ideea of one story being told by 13 authors...especially since a few of them, like J.M. Darhower, Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward, Tijan and Belle Aurora, are some of my favorites authors.
So the story started pretty well...they basically had me at "tattooed guy"...what can I say? I'm a sucker for a hot tatted up hunk...
description
And after stealing the cab they where sharing I knew things where getting better between Hudson and Verity...and they did...until the weirdness started creeping in...
description
It started with how secretive Hudson (a.k.a. tattooed guy) was and the weird packages that Verity's boss (who was also weird) was getting (that had her dying to know what was inside them).
description
I really enjoyed the first half of the book but that's when things started getting really weird because we find out that Verity's boss
description
And that's not all...
description
My thoughts exactly...
description
But in the end we find out the truth and all is well when it ends well...or in this case when the man that planed to
Despite all the crazy I really liked the story and how it was written...totally worth my time...
This was such a fun and hilarious read. When thirteen wonderful authors come together to collaborate you just know it's going to be good.
Verity and Hudson meet by sharing a taxi one night which then ends up in him committing a felony, her freaking out and at the same time secretly drooling at his hotness. This is just the beginning of their story which moves along at a speedy pace and had me turning pages as fast as my kindle could handle.
Verity is in a job she hates, a creepy sleazy boss who keeps receiving weird packages and she can't stop thinking about the sexy guy she shared a taxi with and who now is frequenting her work place. The stuff that goes on in her head and comes out of her mouth had me laughing out loud so many times. I loved her and really wanted to be her drinking buddy, you would be guaranteed to have a fun night.
Hudson is a bike courier but the way he lives is in complete contradiction to the job he has. In fact there are lots of things about him that Verity finds intriguing, from his incredible tattoos, his sexy smirk and the package he is packing..... in his pants :) This man also has a way with words, he is seriously cute and very romantic.
I loved all the twitter interactions between Hudson & Verity and they are actual real twitter accounts you can follow. You can also check out the website mentioned in this book, where Verity works and get even more from this story.
Wow this one really surprised me, I wasn't sure what a book written by so many different authors would be like but I absolutely loved it! A really great story, that was super fun to read, and the story flows perfectly you can never tell when the authors change each chapter.
Am glad to say that although this was a domino book and I was expecting it to be very uneven in the writing, I found that it wasn't the case at all.
I took half a point since the so called expected "drama" wasn't that dramatic, but having that said, I guess you cannot really create a huge drama issue when the book is written by 13 authors.
Loved Hudson, loved Verity, loved this book :)
