He knows how to score, on and off the ice

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

PISSED.

Pissed off is what I am.
Pissed off that it's over already, even though I tried to read as slowly as possible to savor the lurve.
And yet I was STILL done with the book we've all waited endless months for in less than four hours.

Boo.

description

But what can you do...

description

I even forced myself to take Bejeweled breaks, thanks to my new gaming addiction via Mr. Hubby.

whispered aside...Sir Man Meat said I would never be able to score as high as he does.

description

Pffffffffffft.

description

But I digress.

The book.

Elle Kennedy.

I bow down to you.

description

And to the Elle Kennedy Off-Campus Formula?

description

*
*
*
description

Done.

Wait, what formula, you ask?

Whelp, this one:

Hot hunk of hockey player who can (and usually has) fucked everything that moves because, you know, all the vaginas be like "please fuck me and my friend too."
description
Girl-next-door-hottie (who hot hunk of hockey player suddenly realizes is a hottie) is reluctant to get involved with said walking STD, but golly gee, she just can't fight the hotness and surprisingly scintillating hot man personality that is his hockey hotness
description
Hot as fuck "friends with bennies" situation somehow ensues because, you know, "casual fling," wherein which both hot hunk and hottie-next-door realize there is MORE to said hot person and they think they OMG lurve them...

Cue "in a relationship" facebook/Twitter/Instagram status

description

Skulduggery and intrigue suddenly proceeds to come afoot , creating an OMG conflict between said hotties

Cue temporary "it's complicated" facebook status

But never fear. Because true hotties always rise above.

description
HAPPILY EVER FUCKING AFTER

And there you have it folks.

The best NA/YA/You-fucking-name-it-A formula known to man.

description

And God BLESS Elle Kennedy for bringing it better than anyone else, day book in and book out.

description

Now, all joking about the above formula aside. There is a LOT of depth to these books that you don't always find in other NA books - or just plain ANY book for that matter.

The characters in this series deal with some major issues along the way. And not OTT "let's fucking out-tragedy each other issues," but REAL LIFE issues that occur or are occurring in real people's lives (OUR lives) everyday. REAL life problems and obstacles that cause legit grief and heartache.

So there's that.

Also, another awesome round of applause to Ms. Kennedy for the anti-slut shaming agenda that arose (pun absolutely erected) in this story.

All us sluts heartily thank you.

And that ending? Holy hot hockey-ness, people.

I'm sooooo fucking excited for Tuck's book that I can't even stand it.

description

So long story short, this is an AWESOME installment to what has become one of my favorite all time series.

If you love sports romance, mature NA, the above mentioned "formula" and haven't read this series yet? You are mos def missing out.

And with that?

5 stars!

 photo FE6FD941-4F3E-4D91-A737-F383949B4957_zpsvav51bjc.jpg

It’s very rare that I read a series with 3 books and all 3 are equally fantastic and solid 5+ star reads for me. When starting The Score I was a little nervous it wouldn't live up to all the hype. I loved the first two books in this series so hard, I could only hope this was as good. I think The Mistake is still my favorite because, well… Logan. But honestly, this was just as good as The Deal for me and solid 5 star read!

Dean and Allie are two characters we’ve known and loved since book one. I was so anxious to see how Dean would be in this book… how does the ultimate college man-whore settle down? Is it even possible one woman could make him fall? Maybe… just maybe if it’s the right girl. And they have the right chemistry. And she can keep him on his toes. And just maybe this girl won’t want anything to do with Dean Di Laurentis after one night. But we all know she’d only be fooling herself. Because it’s DEAN! Dean has a life motto for christ’s sake! I just adore him.
“I do what I want, when I want. And I don’t give a shit what people think about me.”

 photo 55925037-DE17-460B-83C8-3BEB8862ED07_zpss9z9szha.jpg

Let me just say there is a lot more to Dean than what meets the eye. I love the Elle gives her characters this depth you wouldn’t expect. I didn’t think there would be so much to Dean, but there absolutely was. And Allie was pretty fantastic as well. I loved how she didn’t easily give into Dean and his ways like all the other girls on campus seem to. I love me a feisty heroine! Dean met his match when he found himself wanting her.

 photo D7327C09-C01C-4314-BA41-264BBF7D254E_zpstmlidjuh.jpg

There is so much I love about these stories, but really I think my absolute favorite thing is the bromance between these guys. The four friends that live in this hockey house together are loyal, they have each others backs, and they are seriously a complete hoot when they’re together. I can’t even tell you how many hilarious lines between Dean and Garrett, Logan or Tuck that I highlighted!

This is one of the best new adult series I’ve ever read. When it comes to college romances, this one takes the cake. Seriously. If you haven’t read them, stop what you’re doing, and pick up The Deal right this minute. Elle Kennedy will give you love, laugh out loud humor and amazing off the charts chemistry. Her characters are lovable and these books are just fun to read with the perfect amount of feels and emotions. The Score goes on my must read list! This is one I highly recommend!
“I thought you said you didn’t want to… And Dean Di Laurentis only does what he wants, remember?”

Well, I’ll be damned! I loved The Deal and didn’t think it would be possible to top it, but The Score, OMG! The Score was even better!!! The best part in the series! So yeah, I guess it’s time for Snoopy and the happy dance.

Nothing about the plot from me because I encourage you to read it yourself, but I promise, you will laugh and get teary-eyed and get all mushy inside. All because of Dean Sebastian Kendrick Heyward-Di Laurentis. Holy shit, this guy is swoonworthy. Really, I’m in love, so back off ladies, Dean is mine. Let me count the reasons:
1. Doesn’t like to wear a shirt, like ever.
2. Is dirty in bed, with a power to seduce with just words that spill out of his mouth.
3. Reformed manwhore. Yeah yeah, you know the type, we all love them. But once he gets Allie, he is loyal, so no worries about hanky panky on the side ladies.
4. Boy is smart, like really smart with good grades and all. Who would have thought, huh?
5. Is also super funny and cheery most of the time. The banter and sweet talk between him and Allie is awesome.
6. And finally, he will squeeze out of you all those warm feelings. You. Will. Fall. Head. Over. Hills. In. Love with HIM.

But Dean isn’t the only great thing that makes this book wonderful, Allie as a heroine is kickass too, plot is fabulous and I loved catching up with the whole bunch. Truly, it was fantastic, mark your calendars for January 11th 2016. You don’t want to miss this book, I swear.

Now, only Tucker left, and judging from that last sentence…. his book might be… interesting. So yeah, keep that shit up Elle Kennedy because you are doing a fine job.

i don’t understand the hype about this series, it’s not even that good and it’s poorly written lmaoo. there are literally books on wattpad that are better quality and much more well written than this whole series.
— this book was so bad. how is it that dean was awful in his own book?! shocking, bc i liked him in the first 2 books, but here his character is so icky and creepy. this man also needs to learn that no means NO.

in chapter 2 there’s already fetishisation of wlw relationships. the mmc constantly fetishised and objectified wlw in this book. sapphic women DONT exist for the pleasure of men!! and i’m so tired of the stereotype that boys only go to college to have sex and party and girls constantly being referred to as “puckbunnies” for having sex has to be the grossest stereotype of them all. why are men constantly praised for sleeping around but god forbid a women does it she’s a “whore.” make it make sense please.

i wanted to see some character development and an emotional connection between the mmcs, not read about them sneaking around and having sex every second page. dean and allie don’t have any chemistry, it’s purely sexual attraction between these two!! i don’t care for these characters, they are easily the most forgettable.

3.5 ⭐️ this was so fun to read. i really enjoyed how refreshing this storyline was compared to the others. Allie and Dean do not bullshit and they are the funniest people in this entire series.
i love how comfortable they are around one another and to each other. like i said they don’t bullshit around and i’m glad allie got her kinky fix with dean and the man just took it, no questions asked.
sean can walk off a cliff. i’ve never wanted to punch a fictional mf so hard.
this shit was cheesy and clique and predictable and lowkey questionable but damn papa he a rare breed no comparing

The funniest, most irreverent and emotional book in the series by far. My friends know how much I loved The Deal, and I love it still. I really do but this book...gah! This book made me laugh and it also made me cry. Yes, cried because apparently, Elle Kennedy had a few surprises up her sleeves which totally broke my heart.

The Score is the third book from Kennedy's wildly popular NA sports romance series, Off Campus. This time, the story centers on Dean, the unapologetic and self-proclaimed manwhore of the team. Dean has had it easy. He's good-looking, rich and doesn't lack for any female or male adulation. But Dean's life became a lot more interesting when Allie Hayes, Hannah's best friend, came to stay over at their house one night to avoid her ex-boyfriend who want to get back with her. Dean being Dean, he put on the moves on Allie despite warnings from Hannah and Garrett.

Unfortunately, Allie was unimpressed. She knows Dean's reputation and she doesn't want to be just another notch on her bedpost. She knows who she is: a girl who is prefers relationship over casual sex. And Dean is the epitome of casual. Besides, Allie just broke up with her on-and-off boyfriend of three years. But Dean was persistent and he managed to convince Allie to ditch her no casual sex rule in favor of some hot rebound sexy times.

I personally cannot blame Allie for capitulating because when Dean wants something, he is tenacious and he can turn on that Di-Laurentis charm like nobody's business. Allie didn't stand a chance. Heck, I didn't stand a chance. I was swept right along with Allie.

I love reading this aspect of the book. We all know by now that Elle Kennedy is a master at banter, and that's never been more apparent than in this book. I could not contain my chuckles and my grins while reading. My husband had to shush me because I could not hold my laughter in. It's simply impossible not to laugh at some of the things that happened or at some of the dialogue in this book. I thought The Deal and the Mistake were funny, but the Score took it to the next level because Dean was a natural comedian. Same with Allie, too. She can go toe to toe with Dean with no problem at all.

I know there were a few readers who were disappointed that Sabrina wasn't the heroine for Dean but let me tell right now, I'm not sorry it wasn't Sabrina because Allie totally owned my heart from the get go. She's feisty, funny and like I said, she's unimpressed with Dean and she made him work for it. Dean and Allie simply worked together. Sure, Allie had her moments of guilt and indecision but the author explained those very well I sympathized with her. I knew where she was coming from and I could understand why she would feel that way.

But the best thing about this book is how you get to see Dean and Allie fall for each other. It's so rare to read a book that actually shows the hero and heroine fall for one another in a series of moments instead of just being told that they are in love. There's no insta-love here. NONE. And I LOVED that because even though Dean and Allie were physically intimate with each other and are crazy attracted to each other, they didn't fall in love immediately. It took time for them to fully trust one another. But the moment they did, oh man, it was well worth the wait. Seriously, Elle Kennedy should conduct a workshop on this non-insta love thing because I much prefer my romance like that.

Apart from the romance, there were other layers to this story. We see Dean change and grow as a character. We read about Allie deal with her limited career choices. We see the gang worry about life beyond college, about whether or not they're going to still be friends with each other or lose touch. Dean and Allie also had to deal with disappointments and tragedy. There were so many things in this book that rang true for me based on my own experiences in college.

I also loved that there were no slut-shaming in the book. My usual complain about NA and sometimes with contemporary romance is that when you have a manwhore hero, we usually get the whole "all the other girls are sluts except the heroine and her friends" shtick. The characters had to own up or gets called out on heir prejudice about sex and hook ups, and it's perfect. I could not hate Dean or feel bad for the girls who chose to have sex with him simply because they were written as characters with agency. And there were some things from Dean's past that should've raised my hackles, usually, but it didn't because again, Elle Kennedy treated it with sensitivity and it worked perfectly with Dean's character arc.

I really can't find anything to complain about this book. I finished it with a huge smile on face because it met all my expectations, and I hope it will meet yours, too!

I refrained from posting some quotes because you guys should experience all the funnies yourself. And trust me, if you loved the previous books in the series, you will undoubtedly love this one as well.

I kiss him back hungrily, helpless to resist him. Dean Di Laurentis is in my blood now. I didn't expect this intense sexual chemistry between us, but it's here, and it's addictive, and I don't know how I can ever give it up.

You know when you read the first book in a series and you love it so much that you don't think anything can top it, but then you read the second and you love it just as much? So then you know that the chances of that continue to hold for the 3rd book are slim, right? In my experience, it's tough to keep that sort of momentum going...unless, of course, you're Elle Kennedy. Because not only was The Score absolutely fantastic, but it turned out to be my favorite in the series. And considering how much I loved the previous two books, that's saying something.

Now let's be real here; considering how much I love me my manwhores, it was already a good chance I'd love Dean Di Laurentis. Even the man's name is hot, for goodness sake. Between his self assured ways, cocky attitude, humor, and manwhoring tendencies, I couldn't get enough of him.
The guy has the attention span of a fruit fly, and the affection-giving habits of a puppy, offering his sexual devotion to whoever happens to be holding the treat. By which I mean the vagina.

What I love about Elle's writing, is the depth that she gives her characters. And Dean certainly was no exception. He may be the hard partying manwhore with a crass sense of humor, but beneath that perfect exterior there's so much more to him and you really get to see it blossom here.

Allie Hayes is Hanna's best friend that just recently broke up with her long term boyfriend of 3 years. In fear of giving in when he comes calling again, Allie seeks an escape at Garrett's place. She knows all about Dean and his one and done ways and he may be hot but he's not for her. She's a nester. She has relationships not one night stands. But then a broken heart and some tequila lead to one of the hottest hookups of her life with none other than the sexy manwhore. She's determined to keep it in just friends zone after but Dean is determined to change her mind.
Have you considered seeing a psychiatrist about your delusions?" I ask politely. "Because, sweetie, there's no chance in hell of us boning tonight."
"Fine. How about we go down on each other instead?"
"How about you leave?"
"Counter offer- I stay and we dry hump."

The Score is this amazing combination of witty humor and endearing characters. While I loved the slow building romance between Dean and Allie, what kept me turning the pages was the banter between them and the rest of the guys. The Twilight references alone had me laughing like a loon. It was witty and crass, and wildly entertaining. Dean and Allie together was the perfect examples of opposites attracting and I absolutely loved them together. Their banter and chemistry was utterly delicious.
...last I checked, genitals don't decide who gets to listen to their music first."
"Oh yes, they do...
See, if you take away my dick privileges, I'll be fine for moths. Years, even. But if I take away your pussy privileges? You'll be utterly lost. Like a drowning man at sea, desperately grabbing for the vagina preserver. Therefore, vagina trumps penis."

I loved how Miss Kennedy pulled off an incredibly sexy romance while keeping it realistically slow paced. These two may burn up the sheets together, but the feelings came with time and I for one loved watching those develop for both of them.

This isn't just a story of the manwhore meeting his match and inevitably succumbing to his feelings for her; it's so much more. The story had wit and humor and so much depth to it, too. There's something that happens towards the end that caught me completely off guard. I never in a million years expected something like that to happen and yet as much as it broke my heart, I can't help but to admit it did the job of driving the plot where it needed to go.

Without a doubt, Elle Kennedy is a force to be reckoned with. The woman can write the hell out of a book. Dean and Allie's story was funny, sexy, swoony, emotional and wildly entertaining. It was everything I love about romance and exactly why I read New Adult. THIS is how it needs to be done. I can't wait to see what the next book brings, because after that little peak we got? Oh yeah! It's about to get real.

Elle Kennedy definitely has another HIT on her hands with this one. The OFF CAMPUS series delivers the HOTTEST Hockey Players, panty melting scenes, and laugh out loud moments as well. Each guy is pretty cocky and gorgeous, but never do they come off as narcissistic pricks.

Dean Di Laurentis is a serious PLAYER. He enjoys sex and is a serious exhibitionist as well. He also doesn’t have any desire to be in a serious relationship with any woman and he always makes his intentions clear with every girl he hooks up with. The one time he attempted to be in a relationship ended disastrously and several years later he is still haunted by the past.

Allie Hayes is Hannah’s best friend and roommate. Hannah is Garrett’s girlfriend and I’m sure none of you have forgotten THE DEAL. That book was on my top ten of 2015 list. Allie has just broken up with her boyfriend of the past three years and is feeling vulnerable. She wants a clean break from him but he isn’t willing to give up on her. So in order to avoid her ex, she spends the night at Garrett’s house, where as luck would have it, Dean happens to be.

Allie knows Dean and is fully aware of his reputation, which makes her immune to his charms. She isn’t like any of the girls he hooks up with. But after several shots of tequila and a couple of puffs from a joint, Allie finds herself waking up the next morning naked in Dean’s room, with a serious hangover, and a gloriously naked Dean as well.

The sex turned out to be mind-blowing for the both of them and after a ton of resistance from Allie, the two enter into an arrangement. They agree to have sex on a regular basis and to not see other people while doing so. But as they start to spend more time together, feelings begin to develop and pretty soon they question whether there might be something more than just sex between them.

 photo 686eceb26e74266209d3c08e01241c66_zpsro01jcr9.jpg

We learn how life has been pretty unfair to Allie and how things aren’t always what they seem where Dean is concerned. He lets people think he’s just a pretty face with a limited vocabulary, but he’s destined for Harvard Law and it’s due to his academic prowess and not his family’s bank account. I found myself comparing Dean to Grayson from The Friend Zone, which only made him that much more lovable to me.

There were some angst filled moments, but they were quickly resolved and I wished that they had been drawn out just a bit longer. Expect to laugh your ass off at least a few times, especially during the bath tub scene with Winston. The steamy scenes were seriously freaking HAWT!! Dean is pretty insatiable and I guarantee that you will either be taking a few cold showers, attacking your man, or spending some quality time with your Winstons.

This book releases on Jan 11th and I know you’re all going to fall in love with this story and Dean!!

Once again, Elle has taken a common new adult formula and made it fresh, fun and highly entertaining. A no-excuses manwhore and Ms. Relationship come together, resulting in sizzling chemistry and hilarious verbal sparring. The Score was a wonderful story, one that had me smiling and a bit misty eyed, a perfect combination of heart-warming romance and light-heart humor, all surrounding realistic college life.

FIVE MAN WHORE STARS.

Maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

description

This series has well and truly got me wrapped around its little finger. If I could reproduce the feelings I have when reading one of the books in this particular series, then my happiness levels would be set for life. Talk about sweeping me off my feet, this hero has gone and made himself my favourite out of all Elle Kennedy's boys; no small feat let me tell you, this author has a particularly wonderful talent of making her men irresistible. 'The score' is not to be missed, forgotten or side stepped. In fact all romance readers (who haven't yet had the fortune to 'meet' these characters) should make it their quest to read them immediately. Trust me you won't look back.

What's it all about?
After her latest heartbreak, Allie Hayes decides to make a personal pledge to avoid making the same mistakes again. Allie will do anything and everything to avoid getting her heart involved. Setting out to concentrate on making her dreams a reality she has no interest when the possibility of a one night stand with the notorious man whore, Dean Di - Laurentis becomes a possibility. But after one drink too many and with an itch to scratch, Allie lets her hair down for just one night. But after getting just a little taste of the sassy blonde Dean finds himself wanting more. And so begins the cat and mouse chase of a lifetime ... This hero wants Allie all for himself.

description

What did I love?
Every. Single. Moment. There was not a word, sentence or chapter that didn't have me glued to the action. The romance was on point, the characters were adorably addictive and the story line had me hooked. But over everything else this book made me laugh like no other in the series, the banter was on point and the connection and friendship between the characters was one that I don't think I'll ever forget about. Elle Kennedy really does have an incredibly special talent at making me fall in love with her words and you would have be insane if you didn't find something to love about this reformed man whore and his sassy counterpart. Plenty of emotion, scorching hot chemistry and a romance story that had me feeling all the feels. I really can't find fault with this diamond of a book and it's official the off campus series is crowned as one of my all time favourites.

description

Final thoughts ...
There should not be a single romance reading addict left on the planet who hasn't started this series. I'm being deadly serious, it's a crime against the romance reading world to have not experienced this authors insane ability to create a new adult romance of epic proportions. If you are one of those readers (yes, I'm looking at you) who has not yet got themselves wrapped up in this gorgeous series then I whole heartedly recommend that you stop right where you are and Start. It. Now. And as for me well I can sit back with the biggest smile on my face after meeting a hero that quite frankly will be taking up residence in my book heart for a long time to come. However, i'm more than happy to make room for more from Elle Kennedy if she's going to keep up this standard of hero worship. Readers, I adored Dean and Allie their story is adorable, soul searching and one to not miss out on. I can't wait for my fellow romance addicts to fall in love like I have. Enjoy ... Kisses.

the more i think about this, the more i hate it. i liked nothing about this except the scenes between dean and dakota because men with kids melts my heart. other than that, i didn’t like it.

anyways, i didn’t like this. that’s all.

——————————————
the only reason why i continued reading this series after clearly not really enjoying the first two books is because i am the type of masochist that, unfortunately, has to finish series i start, no matter how dreadful it is. i can dnf standalone books, but i sadly can’t dnf books in series (if i have read the first one) because i NEED to know what happens next 🤡

allie started off as a character i liked because she didn’t give in to dean easily, but then that tequila mess happened and lust was introduced.

deab and dakota were the best thing about this <3 i'm weak for men with little kids <3 <3 <3

aside from that, honestly, i didn't get the dean hype. he felt conceited to me, even though he said he’s confident. his ego really is a whole other level.

i can’t bring myself to rate this more than 2 stars. this is my least favorite of the series.

3 stars means i actually enjoyed the book, and i didn’t really enjoy this. more or so, i just read it. these college hockey boys ain’t doing it for me. the plot either. or the other characters.

ANOTHER WINNER!!!

I adore this series and I loved this book, I really did. Dean is my favorite in this series. The book contains all the elements I love in the college romance genre: a manwhore-turned-prince-charming hero, a strong and determined heroine and lots of steamy and LOL moments.

So why not 5 stars?

Allie and Dean’s relationship seems a little superficial. Their relationship is based on sex and watching soap operas. Don’t get me wrong, they really are a perfect match, but I didn’t really feel their love. And although the author is trying to portray their relationship as a slow-building one, it still seems rushed to me.

I had a problem with the flow of the story too. The beginning and the end of the book are flawless but I got bored around the middle of the book.

I also caught myself rolling my eyes a few times, for instance during the tomato scene which seemed immature and unrealistic.

But those are only minor flaws. I still think that this book is a must read and I can’t wait for Tucker’s story!

I legit feel like the odd man out here. And the thing is, it's not that I hated this with a fiery passion, but I sure as heck couldn't find it in myself to like this with one either.

The heartbreaking dilemma is I was so excited to read this, I mean after 4 months of not being able to finish a book cause of work, I found it in myself to read this. I would read it every single chance I got, hoping it would get better, but NO. It got worse the further in I read. I honestly feel like I read a different book then all my friends did.

And on we go...

Main characters: I could not find one unique thing about them. I was fed up with Allie's inability to grow a pair and start acting like an adult towards whatever relationship she had with Sean. And on that note, I feel all the author did was take a stable character we've known from the start, like Sean, and turn him into a sexist douche for the sake of the plot. Allie was immature and I honest to God hated her voice. My eyes would start rolling from the second I saw I was about to start her POV. And on to Dean, way to go with the stereotype. His whole overnight turnaround was completely absurd and just down right ridiculous. Golden vaginas that make guys go goo-goo-ga-ga after one lay is just eye roll worthy and plain ol' unrealistic. And their kink? Dude, please, let's just not.

Plot:

Because all they did, breathe, and think was SEX . Plot? Who needs a plot when there's "kinky"-or at least they like to think it is-sex? Who needs character growth when there's bjs? Who needs chemistry when there's so much foreplay to go around?

Everything Else:

The fuck faucet has run dry and I'm out of fucks to give...

3.5 Stars!

Really need half stars here Goodreads. The fact that there was skimming involved warrants a rounding down, BUT there were some pretty damn funny lines that make me want to round up.

Honestly, for me this felt like a repeat of book 1 and 2, just changing up the main characters names.

Seems like all of the men are reformed manwhores (really really over it), the couples want to keep their proclivities on the DL, and the hero does something stupid at the end. No?

I know I'm in the minority...I expected to be.

I liked Dean and Allie fine. I just can't say anything about the story really wowed me. Other than the last paragraph of the book. Well played there Elle!

I wasn't a huge fan of the plot device used to create the conflict but it didn't annoy me too bad.

It was entertaining enough, certainly funny, relatively low angst and pretty damn hot.

5 The Life of Dean Stars
* * * * * Spoiler Free
As a huge, massive, seriously devoted fan of The Deal by Elle Kennedy, I was over the top thrilled to see the success of her new series Off-Campus. I enjoyed reading about people in college who had dreams and goals; who experienced things in their lives which shaped who they were and when confronted with real challenges, pulled from within... muscled through...coming out the other end, better.

These books had humor, drama, amazing sexy times, and most of all, none of the over-the-top angst so many other stories can have. As someone who doesn't read the angsty, heartbreaking type... this was a series made just for me and others who felt the same way.

Well, people.... This does not disappoint. This brings us back to Briar College and the troops. We are right where we need to be to watch Dean Di-Laurentis meet his match. We are privy to Dean's and Allie's POV's and being in their heads gives us all of the feels we need.

Now I know all of you are wanting to know about Dean... the man who invented the perfect Dick Shot... yes, the one which instructed his friends to hide the balls... because let's face it... balls are not sexy.

Yes, that Dean is there in all his sexual glory... the flirt, the one-track mind, the man who loves to party with all the willing women... and know... there are willing Twins, duets, and all sorts who wish to experience the Dean...and in the past books, Dean was more than happy to oblige. His one hardcore rule was everyone had to be on the same page... meaning...a clear understanding of what the hook-up was- fun and games... no relationship.

And that is the Dean we catch up with, the man who has the happy existence. He does what he wants, is with who he wants, and lives to the fullest.

He lives in a house full of his hockey teammates. Two of them have met their women and are in bliss. Hannah, Garrett's girl has brought a balance to his friend and she has fit in with all of them. It is her best friend Allie who becomes a thorn in Dean's side at first.

For Allie has finally pulled the plug on her long-term on-again off-again relationship with Sean. They started in her freshman year with the understanding of what would happen at the end of college... the both of them going off to do what they had planned...She to pursue her passion in acting... him, off to Vermont to work at his father's insurance company. What developed was a push-pull between them; Sean trying to manipulate Allie to being "the little woman supporting her man" syndrome.
He wanted her to give up her dreams; never admitting she was worthy of all the success she had had... for she had been acting since a child. This wasn't some pipe dream... she had done plays, commercials and was with an agent who was booking her for a possible Fox series. She was fully in the game...and Sean just discounted her and finally said all the things needed for her to see clearly- it needed to be over.

Allie called Hannah and asked if she could help her. She had told Sean it was over and he was nonstop texting and saying he was coming to her dorm. Hannah arranged for Allie to stay at the house... the only problem is Hannah won't be there with Garrett... only Tucker and Dean will be there. Hannah has Garrett text the guys to let Allie stay and then Garrett separately texts Dean to lay the law down about Allie. He is to keep his dick in his pants... he is to stay clear of her. Allie is given the go-ahead to stay at the house for the weekend.

Dean was rather occupied when the text about Allie was sent... so he had no clue anyone was coming over, let alone Hannah's bestie. Dean was in a trance of mystical proportions...instead of 2 of everything... there were 4...He was living the dream all guys have when wanting more than what one person can give...He was about to enter nirvana when the banging on his door interrupted his entering the treasured path...

There at the door was Allie with a backpack and suitcase. As Dean looks at her in his boxers, no shirt...he is confused as to why she is here and starts to tell her she missed Hannah as they have left. Allie states she is here for the weekend As he tries to close the door to have his playmates get dressed, Allie walks in, plops down on a chair, and says, Carry on... don't let me bother you...

Well, that kind of ruined Dean's mojo...and all of the parties leave with Dean promising a rain check. Annoyed but curious, Dean asks what is up. Allie explains the situation and hands Dean her phone. He is to stop her from reading Sean's texts or her using it to call him. He is her break-up sponsor for the weekend.

Dean takes all of this in and actually is understanding...yet also does his "Dean" thing of suggesting he help her through it by having sex with him. Allie looks at him as if he has 3 heads... She would never be with him...she is a relationship gal... not into casual sex... never worked for her...and Dean has banged half of Briar College and the other half is just waiting to be chosen... oh, no... not happening.

Allie set up Netflix and insists on picking the movie. Somehow she wins and Dean is stuck watching some flick about a woman dying of cancer. As the movie progresses, Allie refuses to admit it sucks...Dean decides there is only one way to continue watching...Tequila.

I don't think I need to tell you what happens next...

Allie wakes up and she is not in a bed alone...her hangover is so bad she can hardly see...but what she does see is a sleeping vision of a glorified man. ...naked...and all of the flashbacks coming rushing to her head...

This cannot be happening...but it did and now what. Dean stirs and Allie is caught with his eyes on her...There is teasing from him but also concern...a pact is reached;
They will never talk about this again.
It Did Not Happen
For the sake of all that is holy, both know Hannah and Garrett and all the others cannot know so they are in agreement. She leaves to stay with another friend and that should be that.

But it isn't. Because Dean had the best experience ever with Allie...and he can't understand why he is only interested in her. Other women are coming on to him and his usually friendly other half... known as Little Dean, is just not responding. This has never happened... like ever. After three days, he reaches out to Allie and tells her he wants to have a repeat... she shuts that down.

There is so much more to this story than just the start of this relationship. We find out why Dean has acted the way he has and his growth arc is done with sleight of hand and then leaps and bounds. Allie has been on a serious path for a very long time. She had a family which loved and cared for her, experienced what it was like to lose a loved one, and now is devoted to her father. With his management of MS becoming harder and harder, Allie has made decisions based on it. She has been a caretaker for a very long time, not always doing what is best for her or allowing others to do for her.

We are with these two as they find a way to each other. We see them separately as they figure out their own needs for growth, career, and love. These two at first would seem like a wrong combination because Dean has only shown the side he thinks other want to see. In this, we are gifted with the reveal of the actual man he is.

Oh, he isn't perfect by any means and when he falls, he falls hard... but he is loyal and true. He doesn't take and not give. He has the intelligence to see clearly when something needs to be addressed and when able, does.

Allie is this woman who has many sides to her... and she is learning all about them through Dean. Their times are playful, incredibly hot and both of them rejoice in the couplings. The way they tease and text is perfect. It is terrific to experience a woman coming into her own sexuality and not feel guilty while doing it. While there may be moments of insecurity; overall, Allie is strong and capable in who she is, what she wants, and where she needs to be to achieve her goals. She is very likable.

This book took me on a journey with characters I had bonded with from the start. Elle Kennedy gave me The Deal with the foundation of these people and then she built a second floor with The Mistake...a strong and solid read in keeping with the same architectural style... of humor, open sexuality, and heart. With The Score she has added another level to an intricate structure. It reflects the time just before people go out into the world and leave the shelter of college. It gives us insight into what these specific characters need to grow and see who they are going to become...it presents challenges and then these characters either rise to carry on or don't.

Elle Kennedy has somehow made these difficult years something we want to continue experiencing through her characters. They are not perfect but damn they are fun. I know the next installment will bring even more challenges to the forefront and I can't wait to see how Ms. Kennedy handles it.

HOT DAMN! LOVED IT!

THE DATING GAME questions with Dean and Allie:
1. I’VE HEARD YOU ARE PERFECT, DEAN. IS THERE ANY TRUTH TO THESE RUMORS?
”Yeah. I am perfect. I need to remind myself of that more often.”

2. ALLIE, PRIOR TO GETTING TO KNOW DEAN WHAT WAS YOUR IMPRESSION OF HIM?
”If I’m being honest, I’ve never known what to make of the guy. He’s cocky, flirtatious… Superficial.”

3. COULD YOU SEE YOURSELF GETTING TOGETHER WITH HIM?
”He’s annoying and ridiculous and totally not my type.”

4. DEAN, YOU GIVE ALLIE SOME ADVICE ON HOW TO HANDLE HER BREAK-UP WITH HER EX. WHAT WAS THIS GREAT WISDOM YOU SHARED WITH HER?
”The best way to get over someone is to hook up with someone else. ASAP. Seriously, just find yourself a rebound. I volunteer as tribute.”

5. One last thing, Dean, how do you feel about shirts?
”I don’t like shirts.”

Now that you’ve gotten to know Dean and Allie a little better have fun reading about them in THE SCORE. I love this series and, at the moment, this book is my favorite of the series. I was sucked in by everything that makes a college romance good - the drama, the love-hate relationship, manwhores, relationship girls and jealousy. I loved when Allie would get stuck in her head she’d quickly realize she was over analyzing the situation and pull herself out of her “mental talk”. A lot of times the female characters can be annoying with the inner dialogue and Allie did a great job of catching herself in those moments and turning the inner babble off. The Score was just the right combo of all things that make NA genre entertaining.

The Score is my third book by Ms. Kennedy and after that ending I’m anticipating the next book in the series.

4.40!

“Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”

Elle Kennedy had no right. No right to make me fall so badly over these characters and excuse me a death in a rom-com?? I was crying last night because why!?! but that I will discuss later. For now, I want to stress on how much this series has brought joy in my life...amidst exams and all the anxiety this series has comforted me and the characters + the banter made me laugh so much and OH MY GOD WHY ARE THE THIRD ACT BREAK UPS SO GOOD HERE! If you have not read this series, you have too because you are missing out on it so much.

“I do what I want, when I want. And I don’t give a shit what people think about me.”

Thinking Dean Di-Laurentis was just a fuckboy was so wrong and that is why side characters like him deserve their own story because you do not know how much more you will love them, for Dean it was the best thing that Elle could have done because behind his smiling idgaf flirty demeanor there was a man who wanted to love someone and was afraid to do it and a man who cared so much but was always misunderstood and I was so touched by his story. He fucked up at times but the groveling was just so insane 😫

“I think it takes a certain level of trust to sit next to someone and not feel the pressing urge to babble away.”

Allie Hayes brought out the best version of Dean Di-Laurentis the world had ever seen and I praise her so much for that. What I loved the most about Allie was her relationship with her dad because she was willing to give up her dream to take care for him and it takes so much to do that. To be willing to leave something that you have given everything for over your family and I loved the way Elle highlighted it besides that Allie was such a fun character to read about and I will be looking forward to read her POV in the legacy the most!

“All my senses are filled with her—her sounds, her smell, her touch. Her.”

The romance was easily my favorite part...there was two scenes in particular that I loved so much 1, when Dean comforted Allie after the whole incident with Sean happened. I love this scene because he first hugged her made sure she okay and then left to beat his ass and 2, would be when Allie thinks Dean bought two tickets for him and her to move to Las Vegas but it was really for her and her dad. These two scenes were just amazing and oh my god the smut in this book was so fucking hot like i had to fan myself.

“I told you, my dad made sure I knew self-defense.” “Well, kudos to your dad for making sure you could protect yourself. Followed by a fuck you to your dad for turning you into a deadly weapon.”

The side characters and their banter was amazing especially with that whole Wilson scene but I wanted to talk about one specific character and spoiler Beau! i loved him so much and I wanted him to get this own book but he died?? just like that and |Deans response to it and his method of healing and how it shaped his and Allies relationship plus his life was very beautiful Spoiler end

The banter (its gonna be long):
“Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”
-
“You know, I don’t think we’re dealing with a Bella’s-magical-blood situation here.”
“No?”
“No. I think you’ve imprinted on this girl’s pussy.”
… “What do you mean?”
“I mean you’re facing a Jacob quandary. You imprinted on her pussy, and now it’s the only pussy you can think about. You exist solely for this pussy. Like Jacob and that weird mutant baby.”
(the first time i have scene a twilight reference been used like this LMAO)
-
“Awww, look at him, G, he’s so precious when he’s sleeping.”

“Like an angel.”

“A really slutty angel.”

“Wait—do angels even get laid? And if so, are heaven orgasms a million times better than earth orgasms? I bet yes.”

“Uh-doy. Where do you think rainbows come from? Whenever you see a rainbow, that means an angel just came.”
-
“surprised his head doesn’t spin and his eyeballs don’t bug out. “Um.” His gaze bounces around the bathroom like a rubber ball. He looks at the towel rack, where his cargo pants are hanging. He looks at the bathtub, where I’m lounging like Cleo-fucking-patra. He looks at the bubbles surrounding my body like a fluffy white cloud. And then he looks at Winston. “Dude,” I blurt out. “It’s not what it looks like.” “Nope, nope, nope, I don’t want to know!”
-
“There are five unread messages on the screen, which is what happens when you’re the meat in a hot girl sandwich. Threesomes trump checking your phone. That’s a no-brainer.

Logan: Hey, bro, Wellsy’s friend Allie is crashing at our place this weekend.
Logan: Keep your dick in your pants. G and I aren’t in the mood to beat u senseless if u try something. Wellsy might be in the mood for violence, tho. So: dick = pants = don’t bother our guest
.
Hannah: Allie’s staying with u guys til Sunday. She’s in a vulnerable place right now. Don’t take advantage of her or else I’ll be unhappy. And u don’t want to make me unhappy, do u?
I snicker. Hannah, diplomatic as always. I quickly scan the last two messages.
.
Garrett: Allie’s gonna crash in my room.
Garrett: Your dick can stay in your room.

Jeez, what is everybody’s fascination with my dick?”

-
“I was a perfect gentlemen."
Logan snorts. "Well, that's a first."
"Fuck you very much. I happen to be skilled in the art of gentlemanry."
"That's not an art. Or a work." Logan rolls his eyes.”

First things first, can we take a moment to appreciate the gorgeousness of this cover?

Second, if I can't have a John Logan (because Logan will always be my number one hockey hottie) can I have a Dean Sebastian Kendrick Heyward-Di Laurentis?

And third, is there a way to stop drooling?
(No? I thought so.)

I am a bad, bad girl. I have a shitload of work to do, I have the most brutal exams of my life approaching but do I study? Hell no, I just fall in love with the hottest athletes that an author has ever created. I need help. Seriously guys, I'm open to suggestions, interventions or therapists' numbers. I'll accept any offer that will pull my mind out of the gutter, even though I'm afraid I'll need an extension ladder and a generous dose of bleach to scrub my dirty thoughts.

“Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”

In The Score we're dealing with a friends-with-benefits-that-fall-in-love situation (which explains the graphic-and sometimes extravagant-sex scenes) between Allie, a girl who just broke up with her longterm boyfriend, and the infamous man-slut/ horndog/ sex addict Dean. There is chase, tention, sneaking out and eventually emotions, heartbreak and problems that will affect their relationship, but Dean imprinted on Allie and he will not let her go. Sounds like a fun ride, right?
“The guy has the attention span of a fruit fly, and the affection-giving habbits of a puppy, offering his sexual devotion to whoever happens to be holding the treat. By which I mean the vagina.”

The Score was great, but in my opinion not as funny and cute as The Mistake. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it very much, and I swooned and laughed and blushed! I just felt like something was missing, and I think that's because I found Allie's character really flat and indifferent. I couldn't connect with her and even though I didn't hate her, I didn't love her either. This, plus the drug use are the reasons I didn't give it the fifth star! That being said, let's talk about Dean, shall we?
“I do what I want, when I want. And I don’t give a shit what people think about me.”

The unrepentant manwhore was the most pleasant surprise! There was depth in him I didn't expect to find, and he had a caring side he barely showed that Allie was the one to unlock. I loved the way he interracted with the kids in the team and his discomfort when he was treated differently due to his family and money. Was he vain and cocky? Sure. Was he self-absorbed? Most of the times. But he was also brutally honest about who he was, he never lied nor gave promises he couldn't keep and I must admit I thought he'd run away when things between him and Allie got serious but no, despite his fear he didn't back down and I really admired him for that! And he also oozed sexuality. Compared to Dean Heyward-Di Laurentis, Hell is just a sauna.

Elle Kennedy did not fail to deliver her trademark humour! The bathtub incident, Allie's ninja moves, the angels talk and the Twilight analysis were some of my favorites, and despite my efforts I couldn't help but burst into maniacal laughter in the middle of the night (because let's face it, it's not a book you can read when your parents are around)! I loved the pop culture references, Dean's relationship with his family and the appearance of the rest of the gang! And holy bananas! the plot twist in the end was a total mindfuck! How on Earth am I supposed to wait for the next book?? There was also enough steam to turn you into a puddle of hormones and holy.hot.chemistry.Batman! Dean and Allie were on fire! And so was I!

Being an ordinary girl in an ordinary hockeyless world really sucks.

Allie is a better woman than I am because I would have written Dean off instantly — he may be hot but his personality gave me the ick so badly in the beginning.

The dialogue is actually atrocious - this was 2 stars for me until about 30% in when the character growth and decent plot made this more bearable but I honestly feel like I lost some brain cells in the process. This book touches on some heavier topics like grief, due to an event that occurred in this book, forcing Dean to realise not everything in life is rainbows and sunshine.

There was a third act which didn't bother me too much as it was natural occurrence to the catalyst event. I’ve loved Allie since the The Deal and it was great to see her find herself in this book. Dean complimented her well and I loved how he bolstered her self-confidence.

If you can look past the cringy dialogue, Allie and Dean are super cute together and make it worthwhile.

Allie and Dean .. ♥
description

Dean. Oh sweetheart I've been waiting for your book. I certainly WAS NOT disappointed with this one. The biggest player out of the hockey bunch who I've fallen head over heels for. One thing that was constant was my smile. Whether it be a watery one or one from laughter. Dean never failed to keep one on my face. This guy is HILARIOUS, sweet, and quite the looker. Allie scored with this one although Allie is pretty amazing herself. I adored the banter between these two and their story was EPIC per usual (wouldn't expect anything less from Elle Kennedy). I've learned to expect the unexpected with Elle Kennedy novels which I love because the plot isn't always predictable.

"Ugh. You even have perfect nipples," I gripe.
His lips twitch. "Do you wanna touch em?"

description

"I am perfect. I need to remind myself of that more often."
I snort. "Right. Because you're not conceited enough."
"I'm confident," he corrects.

The Boys. I've said it once and I'll say it again .. I LOVE THESE BROTHERS. I love how they live together, how they are ALWAYS there for one another, and how they talk to one another! Honestly where does Elle Kennedy come up with this BRILLIANT dialogue?! It is GOLDEN. I use to think that football players were my favourite but of course after reading about hockey players .. I switched over! Normally when I read the next book in a series I'll end up loving those characters more than the first and then cycle continues. With these novels .. I enjoyed all the characters and wouldn't be able to pick ONE favourite couple.

"Edward wants her on a biological level, right?"
"Are you seriously dissecting Twilight right now?"
God, I am. This is what Allie has reduced me to.
A sad, pathetic loser who goes to a bar and forces
his friend to to participate in a Twilight book club.

He looks at the bathtub,

He looks at the bubbles surrounding my body

"Dude," I blurt out. "It's not what it looks like!"
"Nope, nope, nope, I don't want to know!"
Snatches his pants off the rack. Continues backing away.
His eyes again focus on the pink dildo two inches from my hand.
I try again. "I promise you, it's not --"
"I don't want to know."

The Series. This is my go to, my all star, my most recommended NA one. I do NOT want it to end and it breaks my heart knowing there is only ONE more left. Although, I will be continuously re-reading it. I saw a lot of potential in this author and the series keeps getting BETTER and BETTER (if that's even possible). I love the way the stories intertwine and I get to continuously read about familiar faces. Each novel has it's own unique love story and I HIGHLY recommend reading them if you haven't so already.

Every little thing she does is magic
Every thing she does just turns me on ..►♫

FULL REVIEW NOW POSTED:

“You’re going about this the wrong way, you know. The best way to get over someone is to hook up with someone else. ASAP.”
“I’m not ready to be with anyone else yet.”
“Sure you are. Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”

Just when I thought this series could not get any better, we are given another delectable instalment in this witty, sexy, flawlessly written series about opposites attracting. We saw the cocky team captain fall for a sassy geek in The Deal, the star defenseman fight for a second chance in The Mistake, and now we get to properly meet another star of the Briar hockey team—the team’s resident party animal and the biggest player on the planet—and the spirited blonde who ends up rocking his world. These stories are such guilty pleasures of mine, a fun and utterly addictive reading experience beginning to end, and Dean and Allie’s story did not disappoint in the slightest.

“So I’m…what, your relationship sponsor? I’m the one who makes sure you don’t fall off the wagon?”
“Yep. Congratulations, you finally get to do something worthwhile with your time,” I say sarcastically.
He tips his head. “What do I get in return?”
“The satisfaction of knowing you’re helping someone other than yourself?”
“Naah. How about a BJ? I’ll do it for a BJ.”
I give him the finger. “You wish.”
“Fine, an HJ.”

An incorrigible ladies’ man who always gets whatever he wants, whenever he wants it, Dean Hayward-Di Laurentis’ lighthearted attitude gives the impression that he doesn’t have a worry in the world, but behind the team’s star defenseman’s confident swagger lies a man who has not found his true direction in life. Born to privilege and expected to follow in his parents’ footsteps, Dean passes his college days focusing on hockey, random hook-ups, and spending time with his friends, his innate intelligence hidden behind a careless, live-in-the-moment stance on life. But when an unexpected one-night stand turns into the greatest sexual experience of his life, Dean finds himself in uncharted territory, unable to stop thinking about the first woman in his life who’s left him craving for more.

“The memories come crashing back in vivid Technicolor. The terrible movie. The tequila shots. The…rest. I slept with Dean last night. Twice. My heart beats faster as I stare up at the ceiling. I’m in Dean’s room. There’s an empty condom wrapper on the end table. And…yep, I’m naked. Maybe it was a bad dream, a voice in my head tries to assure me. I draw another deep breath and find the courage to turn my head. What I encounter seizes my lungs again. A very naked Dean is stretched out on his stomach. His bare ass taunts me, not just with its sheer perfection, but because of the red scratches on his tight butt cheeks. My nails had left those scratches. I lift a weak hand and notice the fingernail on my index finger is broken. I broke a nail while clawing at Dean’s ass.”

Allie Hayes cannot believe she let the biggest flirt on the planet seduce her, but a night of wild, drunken monkey sex is exactly what her heart needed to get over a painful breakup. She might feel disgusted with herself the morning after, and determined to never let it happen again, but Allie is not a woman who lingers on regrets, and moving on is exactly what she plans on doing from the moment she flees the ‘scene of the crime’. Unfortunately, the man in question does not happen to be on the same page.

“Hey. What’s up?”
I let out a ragged breath. “I want to f*ck you again.”
“Is this a thing now? You’re going to call me every night and say that?”
“Maybe?” Shit. I’m cranky and horny and as confused as she is. “Say yes, baby doll. Just say yes and put me out of my misery.”

So a tantalising game of cat-and-mouse begins between two people who have very little in common at first, but the more they get to know about one another, the more they realise that appearances can be deceiving. Allie’s feisty personality and blind ambition are no match for her selfless heart, and she soon discovers that Dean’s confident, well-adjusted façade hides a vulnerable young man whose unconditional love can also become his greatest downfall.

As always, this story was the perfect blend of heart-warming romance and amusing, engaging dialogues, woven through a well-balanced plotline that entertains and touches our hearts in equal measure. I loved these characters, I loved how multi-layered they got as their story unfolded, and I never wanted to part with them. The premise of a notorious womanizer falling for the first woman to resist his charms might appear cliché at first, but there is nothing cliché about this story, there is nothing cliché about the way these characters are brought to life, and there is nothing cliché about this author’s extraordinary ability to deliver a story that always feels fresh, unique, and exciting. A great addition to the series and a top recommendation from me.

“A blond Adonis with his golden chest and sculpted muscles and perfectly chiseled face. If the hockey thing doesn’t work out for him, he ought to consider going into modeling. Dean Di Laurentis oozes sexuality. He could slap his face on a laxative label and every woman in the world would be praying for constipation just to have an excuse to buy it.”

4.5 / I really enjoyed reading this book! Initially, the plot was very cliche, which isn't to say that it wasn't entertaining, but the characters developed in unexpected ways as the story continued. When you think things are going well, life throws a curveball, forcing the characters to grapple with their sorrow. Subsequently, Elle Kennedy proposes some very insightful anecdotes about grief, loss, relationships, and moving forward. My only complaint is that there's a little too much Dean's POV and hockey talk for my liking, but whatever. Greatly entertaining. I recommend!

To say I was a little excited to read The Score is a bit of an understatement...

I mean, this is Elle Kennedy, who has proven to me she is the queen of arrogant yet completely endearing man-whores (and she's actually making me enjoy the NA genre again- which is a huge undertaking in itself). I'd met Dean Di Laurentis in The Deal and knew this self-absorbed sex-on-a-stick would give us an entertaining ride. To say this book is entertaining is such a gross understatement. The sheer number of highlights is proof positive that The Score will rival the likes of Garrett and Hannah's The Deal. Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone but I'd still read them all as they're that good- and all revolve around a team of sexy hockey players at Briar College. So without further ado....

I introduce the man of the hour- the man who hates shirts, lives for sex, hockey, and his own uber inflated ego- Dean Di Laurentis...

Here's a tissue...you're drooling on yourself...

Dean Di Laurentis oozes sexuality. He could slap his face on a laxative label and every woman in the world would be praying for constipation just to have an excuse to buy it.

When Hannah's roommate Allie Hayes has a messy break-up with her 3-year boyfriend, she's looking for a place to hide. She's avoiding Sean as she knows her will is weak and she really wants a clean break. So Garrett offers up his room at their house for the weekend. He and Hannah will be out of town so his room is empty. Just Tucker and Dean will be around. With a few errant texts to Dean to keep it in his pants, the plan is set.

Garrett:
Allie’s gonna crash in my room.
Garrett:
Your dick can stay in your room.

When Allie shows at the house, it's apparent Dean did not receive the texts and interrupting his current threesome doesn't go over well. Dean instead finds himself cockblocked with blue balls babysitting a broken hearted and off-limits 'Hannah BFF,' Allie. Fun times. So they tap open a bottle of tequila, and you know what they say about tequila and clothes....a trip to the bone zone.

 photo 3AE561A3-89B8-4E8C-A38F-20DDBD086982_zpscerssib0.gif

Allie doesn't do casual sex yet she finds herself waking to a very naked Dean beside her and visions of a crazy night full of everything sexual fantasies are made of. No wonder Dean has the reputation of screwing half the female student body at Briar. But it's a one and done. She doesn't do hook-ups and definitely not with the notorious Dean Di Laurentis.

To say I enjoyed Dean and Allie's story is a massive understatement. Dean is beyond endearing in all his humorous yet arrogant ways and combine his sexual prowess, Allie doesn't stand a chance. I loved everything about each one of them. First, Allie is real. She has her convictions and she tries damn hard to stay true to them. Second, she's confident in her sexuality. Holy mother of lip-biting-till-he-bleeds scenes. Their chemistry is off the charts SMOKING and I commend the author for giving us a heroine that is confident in taking what she wants from a delicious piece of manmeat!!

 photo AA0F24A6-8AE6-497F-9D76-287C26A04C10_zps9tvmtgtf.gif

But, for once, Allie wants this to be a one-time hook-up and nothing more yet Dean is not satisfied with just once. Sex with Allie was beyond anything he'd ever experienced. He finally finds that girl and she says "one and done?" Say it isn't so! Allie won't do casual. She wants strings so that doesn't include the Dean Di Laurentis, Briar College man-whore extraordinaire.

The only problem is—I like the strings. Sex and relationships go hand in hand for me. I’m all about the snuggling and inside jokes and talking late into the night. I’m a card-carrying member of Team Boyfriend, and after last night, I can honestly say that Team One-Night-Stand sucks balls. The sex was incredible, but the shame it left me with isn’t worth the orgasms.

But Dean tends to disagree. What Dean, wants Dean gets...

I loved the progression of their love story. Not an insta-love but more of a combustion that trickles to a slow build again. The growth of both these characters together was phenomenal and secondary characters just added to their draw. Dean is a guy not many people have a lot of faith in beyond sex and having a good time but he really surprises us all here...and Allie is his kryptonite, his deal breaker. Little Dean only has eyes for Allie.

“I mean you’re facing a Jacob quandary. You imprinted on her pussy, and now it’s the only pussy you can think about. You exist solely for this pussy. Like Jacob and that weird mutant baby.”

There is NOTHING I would change about this book. We have humor, steam, a bit of (mature) drama, just everything. The Score is a fantastic third installment in the Off-Campus series. Looking forward to more from Elle Kennedy!

Title: The Score
Series: Off Campus #3
Author: Elle Kennedy
Release Date: 16 January, 2016
Rating: 4 stars
Cliffhanger:. No
HEA:

How much I enjoy reading Elle Kennedy ’s Off – Campus Series is indescribable. Gah! The sizzling chemistry and intense intimacy between the MCs is what makes those books so freaking awesome! They are just so damn good and funny! A perfect escape from boring reality – something I desperately needed this year.

The Deal and The Mistake – which I’ve read few months before, were so good they both made it to my list of top picks of 2015.

“I’m not ready to be with anyone else yet.”
“Sure you are. Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”

The Score, newest addition to Kennedy’s series, is not disappointing either. It delivered exactly what I’ve been craving from NA and had everything I learned to expect from Kennedy’s work: great banter, hot sex scenes, swoony and touching moments and fabulous characters! It was flirty, sexy and damn cute. We have tons of lust, lots of sassiness and wittiness, a tad bit of drama and complex, vivid characters you won’t be able to not fall in love with. See, I am still all gooey inside.

I decided to not give away any plot details here – if you really want some info just check all those awesome reviews of my friends; the best though, is to meet the characters by yourself and slowly unravel all of the elements of the novel. Especially because it is very similar in trend to the previous books.

"Dean Di Laurentis oozes sexuality. He could slap his face on a laxative label and every woman in the world would be praying for constipation just to have an excuse to buy it."

My only concern and something that put me off a little bit is the repetitiveness of the story – it really is a copy of previous books – same things happen, the characters are very similar in behavior, their relationships are alike and.. to be frank there was nothing fresh or different about it. Same story told in the same way – with great humor (trademark of Kennedy’s), fantastic style of writing and scorching sex. And while I did have a lot of fun (how could I not?) I was still worried about it. And I certainly hope that in the future releases Elle Kennedy will do everything in her power to take her work into another level so the storyline will be refreshed and more surprising.

On the other hand, I am sure that every fan of Off – Campus boys will be thrilled and super excited while reading Dean and Allie’s story. I believe that high expectations of almost everyone will be met. It’s good, satisfying and dirty story so be sure to check it out!

Buddyread with my amazing sis Bea (click her name to read her beautiful review) :)

I knew this book will definitely bring me tons of fun times, but heck I didn't expect this installment to be this crazily good! And HOT. Who wouldn't get all warmed-up when it's The Life of Dean we're talking here? DEAN SEBASTIAN KENDRICK HEYWARD-DI LAURENTIS.

description

We've met Dean in the previous books of the Off-Campus series. One of the hockey hotties of Briar, this guy is the manwhore of all manwhores in the team. And then there's Allie Hayes, Hannah's (Garrett's girlfriend) best friend who also appeared in the previous books, who just broke-up with her long-term boyfriend Sean. Things started off when Allie went to the hockey players' apartment to spend the night in order to avoid being confronted by Sean. That's the time when she and Dean got drunk together and well, ended up screwing each other.

This book is practically a friends-with-benefits kind of book, but I loved how the romance came out very developed here-- how Dean and Allie both started off as f*ck buddies which turned into something in the long run. And of course, their character development. So amazed how Dean transformed into one responsible and matured guy and how he stayed loyal to only one girl. *sigh

As usual, Elle Kennedy once again made this entire book worth the read because of the humor that's present in every chapter. There were LOTS of laughable moments here. Little Dean, WINSTON, the martial arts done by Allie and Summer, the Hunger Games and Twilight references, Logan and G's teasings, Tuck's shenanigans, and all!. I had to take a break just to have a good, healthy laugh!!! And my, those hot scenes-- NUFF SAID.

Seriously, this installment is everything. Dean is one of the NA men every girl would really swoon over. I enjoyed everything here because it's so damn entertaining and romantic to the extreme! I need the fourth book now!

5 stars!

You know the book is a winner when you have a smile on your face the entire time you’re reading it. Considering I have loved every Elle Kennedy book I’ve read, I knew going into this book it would be a good read. What I didn’t know is that I would freaking love this book. I need to get my hands on a paperback copy so I can hug it very tightly!

The Score begins with Allie having just broken up with her boyfriend. Knowing how easily he can worm his way back into her life, she asks her friends for sanctuary and her friend’s boyfriend Garrett offers Allie his place for the weekend while they’re gone. Allie runs over to his place to find his roommate Dean there, the campus manwhore. The two hang out for the night and something happens between them. But in the light of day Allie doesn’t want to continue and Dean wants more.

Well I don’t want to get all spoilery and tell the entire plot, so I will do my best to keep this review spoiler free like the author requested. I will say I literally laughed out loud while reading this book, many many times. Especially a certain bathtub scene that some of you have come to know and love. The banter between Dean and Allie was my favorite part about this whole book, they kept each other on their toes.

I also loved how for Dean and Allie they didn’t expect anything from the other, and in return they both ended up needing each other for different reasons. Dean may have had a playboy exterior, but beneath that façade he was so much more, and Allie was the one to see past it and accept Dean for the wonderful man he was. Dean and Allie are one of my favorite book couples, I think they are perfect together.

I gotta say, Elle Kennedy continues to impress and she is an author who I will forever read and recommend. If you haven’t read anything by her yet, get on it!!
