“You don't love someone because they're a dream of perfection. You love them because of the way they meet their challenges, how they struggle to overcome. You love them because together, you bring out the best in each other.”

Thank you so much for checking out TELESA, Jasmine. Im always particularly thrilled when a "western" / non-Samoan reader enjoys my book because i do worry that the emphasis on the setting of Samoa will make the story difficult for western readers to relate to. The Pacific cultures do have a lot of rich mythology which make for great 're-interpreting' and storytelling! I hope you daughter enjoys the read as well.

Thanks for the friend request! I know that it's an impossible question to answer -- not sure that I could pick just one favourite myself! But I've read some great books based on other people's all-time favourites, so I'm keeping the question =)
Looking forward to sharing books with you!
