Hi Shayla,
Not sure if there will be another Wilde Island book. I'm currently working on another YA fantasy with a strong central character, dragons, and sea people. If you like the feel of the Wilde Island books, you will like this new one. Sadly it will be a while before the new one is finished. Have you read my other fantasy books?(less)

Hi Tsunami,
Each book can be read as a stand alone novel. That said, you might enjoy reading them in order as the stories do connect. For example the Wilde Island queen creates a sanctuary for dragons and fey folk called dragonswood at the end of the book DRAGON'S KEEP. That sanctuary is vital generations later, and the main characters (Tess and Garth) in DRAGONSWOOD show up again in book three of the trilogy, IN THE TIME OF DRAGON MOON. It's fun to see the connections, but the books can be read alone, too. Thanks for asking. (less)

“Even if he was a thief, he was my thief. I could not push him away anymore.”
Janet Lee Carey, Dragonswood

In the enchanted woodland wild,
The Prince shall wed a Fairy child.
Dragon, Human, and Fairy,
Their union will be bound by three.

And when these lovers intertwine,
Three races in one child combine.
Dragon, Fey, and Humankind,
Bound in one bloodline.

Janet Lee Carey, Dragonswood

“Even from behind, I knew the seated man was Garth. I'd seen him in chair, saddle, and by a campfire. I'd known him running with his hounds, grooming his horses, leaning back to look at the stars from the branches of a pine tree, hunched with concentration whittling a doll, carrying Alice through a storm, and even sparring with a dragon. A woman will know a man from all sides after that.”

Janet It's fun to meet here in the book lover world.

A fox in a snowstorm HI! I'm sooooooo glad to be your friend!

Janet Hi Judy,

I'd love to hear what you think of Precious Bane. It's my favorite book. I haven't heard of the other two books you mentioned though.

Rain finally stopped here and the sun is out. Ah . . .

Judy Hi Janet,

I hope you didn't get flooded with all the weird weather in the NW. Stay dry!

I am going to look for Precious Bane by Mary Webb. Mary Webb's books are mentioned in the books of a favorite author of mine--Elizabeth Goudge. Did you ever read "Linnets and Valerians" or "The Little White Horse"? Best, Judy
