Sarah Rees Brennan I think it's agreed that it's time for more fencing that fits in with the structure leading up to the championship, so more graphic novels should come next, but Fence is a fabulous world and there's a lot of scope there--so in future there might be graphic novels, novels (written by me or someone else), or who knows what exciting thing... In any case, thank you for asking me and I'm so happy you liked what I did with Seiji and Nicholas: Seiji's was my favourite POV to write (in part because of his dad... :))
Sarah Rees Brennan I hope so, I love travel and miss it, and love meeting readers and miss that too! <3
Sarah Rees Brennan Aw, thank you so much--stories give me great comfort and I'm so glad to have given you comfort too! Especially in our year of greatly needing comfort. As regards Golden, I don't want to be one of those writers who do representation outside of but not within the novel--but definitely I wouldn't rule it out, your Golden headcanons are valid, and maybe someday 'twill be addressed in... another tale in the world. Maybe!
Sarah Rees Brennan Three original novels in three different genres I should be working on right now... wish me luck!
Sarah Rees Brennan You are so kind to ask! I did hope to write a book 4, and had tentative plans for a little more time with Zelda and Theo, and the beginnings of Sabrina and Nick coming back to each other (I felt terrible giving him a hard time and her so much uncertainty about love, life and identity in book 3 in preparation for Part 3, but I knew certainty was coming in Part 4 before I knew anything else). But with the cancellation--and other stuffs--perhaps it would just have been too sad. Thank you again for asking. I'll always be a little wistful about book 4, but I had so much fun in that magical world, and I loved Sabrina, Zelda, Hilda, Ambrose, Prudence, Nick, Harvey, Roz, Theo, Lilith and Salem a lot.
Sarah Rees Brennan Thank you for loving them! <3 <3 <3 We've been talking about the Demon's Lexicon being translated into Italian... fingers crossed for all of them! I'd love it.
Sarah Rees Brennan Oh thank you, and yes! I was especially inspired by Tamora Pierce's Tortall series, especially her 'The Immortals' series. And the Narnia books of course. And I'm always inspired by Diana Wynne Jones--I can't recommend her books highly enough.
Sarah Rees Brennan It has been translated to Spanish, yes! As 'el camino de la bruja,' published by Puck! I don't know how many words it has in Spanish, but it's a quick wee book.
