To say that Wiz Khalifa's single "See You Again" featuring Charlie Puth is a hit would be a major understatement. Ever since the Furious 7 track dropped in March, it's been feverishly making rounds among fans of the popular franchise. When the music video, which makes it clear that the song is a moving tribute to the late Paul Walker, debuted on April 6, it quickly went viral.

This week, the song officially broke the record for the most Spotify streams in a day, having been played 4.2 million times in 24 hours, according to The Guardian. The song also set the record for the most streams in a single week worldwide, having been listened to 21.9 million times. The track even managed to usurp the top slot of the Billboard Hot 100, finally knocking out Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk."

"This is one of those special moments when all the forces have aligned to create a song that is resonating emotionally with millions around the world," Atlantic Records CEO Craig Kallman said. "The combination of Wiz's star power with the introduction of Charlie as a brilliant singer and songwriter is truly magical, striking a nerve with Paul Walker's legion of fans and the film's enormous audience."

Guess that's what happens when you really put your heart into a piece.
