When the same people always win it kinda get boring…
first time win for Nicole, Alexander, Sterling, the cast of This is Us, and the cast of Veep.
I think he means in general. In the last 2 weeks the Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and SAG have all gone to the same people such as Nicole, Alexander, and Sterling.
always win it would imply more than just the people who have won at the award shows in the last few weeks, but even with that mentality. Best drama, This is Us didn’t win the golden globe or the critics choice, that’s also true for Veep. It’s also true for Claire Foy, same for Julia, and for William H Macy. Heck for best male in a comedy, it’s been a different winner at all three award shows. Consequently, regardless of how Tutti meant it, the statement is false.
I think you’re both right. The TV award winners (Yay! This Is Us!!) are mostly all new winner with the exception of Julia. But the winners in the movie categories are starting to repeat with all the awards shows. A few people and movies are locks for the Oscars with these current wins.
First time since last week – boring
…… Agree completely…. no reason for me to watch!!!
Loved how excited This is Us cast got after they won ensemble. They were so surprised! Always nice to see William H Macy win for shameless. No one tops Frank!
Seriously Macy is amazing. Amazing. But I think Fiona has shown some of her acting chops this season.
Sterling K. Brown truly deserves to win and Elisabeth Moss sadly lost to Claire Foy.
Foy is superior.
yes, she is.
Was so happy to see This Is Us win ensemble. It was nice seeing the whole cast get some love.
Though I have to admit that I still do a double take when I see the grown-ups standing next to the child actors who play them – the show weaves them together so convincingly that I forget that they’re all actual people living in the present day.
I wish they stood on stage with each character in the 3 ages one in front of the other. There must be a picture like that somewhere. It was great to see the whole cast up there for sure. loved how excited they were and all the hugs. Love Them ALL!!!
There’s a really nice short video on YouTube with the three different sets meeting each other; you should check it out.
Why don’t they give an award for TV movie or miniseries ensemble??
Poor Alison Brie. Even when Marvelous Mrs. Maisel isn’t eligible, she still doesn’t win. It’s hard to beat the automatic Julia Louis-Dreyfus victory.
So happy the cast of This Is Us won! Happy Sterling won.
I’m so glad for This Is Us. A down-to-earth, raw, real show winning over pretence and self-importance. The cast is superb and what Sterling and Mandy achieved this season is astonishing. Well-deserved.
Agree. I love he whole cast but Brown and Moore are the stand outs for me along the actor who plays Randall’s birth father.
This is not complete, where are the movie categories?
This is a website about TV shows…
Who knew GoT won the award for Best Stunt Team.
Couldn’t very well give it to TWD after what happened…
Awaiting next year’s category – “Best Performance at an Awards’ Show”
Pleased for This Is Us. It’s one of the few ‘Event TV’ series out there. And it really is all about the cast & writing.
Great to see This is Us and Claire Foy win.
Why is Nicole Kidman always given a free pass to hog the mic and give rambling speeches instead of being played off like everyone else who wins? This irritates me to no end.
AMEN!!!!
when harassment affected all the movie watchers and you didn’t care. But when it affects you, you put on black. Ridiculous. But apparently you only care about yourself it’s pathetic
The SAG Awards were not about wearing black as a statement/protest; you have them mistaken with the Golden Globes. –Mgmt.
