I cannot tell you how excited I am to have my painting, “Queen Bee” 👸🏼 🐝 featured not only once, but TWO times in the October issue of @americanartcollector I have enjoyed and admired this magazine for years. The quality of artwork featured & the artist interviews have always inspired me to to work harder & push my paintings further. I feel so lucky to be included! I will have a piece in the @rjdgallery 5th Annual “Women Painting Women: A Voice with Vision”, opening October 7, 6-8pm.

My husband and I had a great photo session with the lovely @bethhhemian_art the other day! 📸We captured so many new ideas for paintings, I cannot wait! I might be a little obsessed with our new Instax camera as well…If anyone else in the Tucson area enjoys having their photo taken, get ahold of me. I am always on the lookout for new faces to paint!🌵

Here’s a close up of some details on a piece I finished up last night. I’ve had fun painting that funky floral dress several times now…I can’t wait to share the entire image with you soon!

Out with the old fuzzies & in with some sharp new brushes! ⚔️ These 2/0 detail brushes by @princetonbrush have been my favorite for the past year or so. I use them for pretty much everything…details, softening edges…They always said to use a bigger brush, but these seem to be working out just fine. 😉🎨 They’re also only a few bucks, so when they die I’m not too sad. 💀

Jess is such a sweetheart. Like a true friend, she went along with my weird, artsy idea & put on the skates. I don’t think either of us is blessed with the gift of balancing on wheels…(who is? 🤷🏻‍♀️) but we rolled & crawled around until we got the perfect shot. That’s what friends are for.
