Jimmy Kimmel called Donald Trump out on Live for claiming he “won” the presidential debate against Kamala Harris, noting that this is a significantly different reaction from how President Joe Biden handled his disappointing performance at the June debate.

“When Joe Biden slipped into a coma and started dreaming about sarsaparilla during the last debate, we acknowledged it, he acknowledged it and said he had a bad night and they sent him up to live on the farm upstate,” Kimmel said.

He continued, “Donald Trump, not only does he lose the debate, he embarrasses himself. He demonstrates exactly why he doesn’t have the temperament or intelligence to run a Dairy Queen store, never mind the country, and yet he’s still screaming, ‘I won.'”

“Does anyone get it here, do any of the election deniers get it?” he then asked the audience.

At another point in his opening monologue, Kimmel pointed to a recent report from Rolling Stone that reveals members of the former U.S. president’s “inner circle” believe a second debate between Trump and Kamala Harris “would be a bad idea.”

“They say his performance was so disappointing he doesn’t know whether to call it Eric or Don Jr. anymore,” he joked.

Trump has refused to do a second debate with Harris and has instead doubled down on insisting he won the debate himself.

“When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH,'” he wrote on Truth Social recently.

But Kimmel pointed out that Trump once said he would debate Harris “anywhere, anytime, any place.”

“The problem for Donald Trump is he’s a big tough guy, dodging a debate makes him look like the coward that he is,” Kimmel said.

“He’s out there telling people he won the debate, the debate we all clearly saw him lose. Why not just say, ‘I did debate her a second time and guess what? I won even more bigly than the last time,'” he suggested.
