‘Live’s Kelly Ripa Measures Mark Consuelos’ Tongue On The Air: “I Just Wanna See Your Width”

Ever wonder how wide Mark Consuelos‘ tongue is? Live with Kelly and Mark viewers got the answer on Wednesday’s installment, thanks to Kelly Ripa (and her trusty ruler, of course).

This morning’s talk of tongues transpired after Ripa brought up Brittany Lacayo, a Houston lawyer who is also the Guinness Wold Record holder of the widest female tongue. Lacayo’s picture was met with stunned reactions from the live studio audience, to which Ripa quipped, “Guys, don’t yuck her yum.”

“I wonder if she has more taste buds,” she added.

Consuelos teased, “I bet she’s really popular on WikiTongue. Is there WikiTongue?”

According to Ripa, Lacayo’s tongue width measures 7.90 centimeters, which translates to 3.11 inches.

“So I’d like to measure your tongue,” she told Consuelos, ruler in hand. “Can I measure your tongue? I just wanna see your width.”

Instructing Consuelos to “flatten it out,” Ripa lamented that it is “hard with a ruler” and “was thinking measuring tape” would do the trick more efficiently. Nonetheless, she managed to measure the width of Consuelos’ tongue, which she announced was “like three inches.”

Consuelos took a look at the ruler, taking note of how wide 3.11 inches is and declaring, “that’s a wide tongue.”

“Well, good for you,” he said. “What’s her name?”

After Ripa reiterated Lacayo’s name, Consuelos repeated it after her, taking a moment to laugh before jokingly asking, “What’s her email address?”
