Tell me lies, tell me Big Little Lies Season 3 is happening — at least that’s what Zoë Kravitz is hoping for!

Despite starring on the hit HBO drama, she revealed to People that she isn’t as in the know on the status of a potential Season 3 as one would believe.

“I’m waiting to see, like everybody else, the third season that’s happening… waiting by the phone, waiting for the script to be done,” she shared.

Although Kravitz conceded that she knows “nothing” about the third installment, she gushed that she’s “excited to do it.”

As for what she hopes for her character, Bonnie Carlson, in a future installment, she said she “think[s] Bonnie’s divorced,” which she claimed is “good for her.”

The show’s sophomore season aired back in 2019, two years after its Season 1 debut. Back in 2022, Kravitz’s co-star Laura Dern, who plays Renata Klein, told Entertainment Tonight that she and the cast “would all love nothing more” than to shoot a third season, likening them to “family.” Just this past February, she teased to Entertainment Weekly that she and Reese Witherspoon are “working diligently at dreaming up” Big Little Lies Season 3, noting that she “sure hope[s] it comes to fruition.”

Meanwhile, according to Variety, Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman sat down for a Vanity Fair interview in June, teasing at the time that they are “moving fast and furious” toward a third installment, and that author Liane Moriarty, who wrote the 2014 novel that the series was adapted from, is “delivering the book.”

Others who starred alongside them are Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgård, Adam Scott, and Meryl Streep.

Big Little Lies Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Max.
