Buying Beverly Hills has been canceled by Netflix after two seasons. Season 2 of the unscripted reality series premiered back in March.

The series, which has a similar format to Netflix shows Selling Sunset, Selling the OC, and Owning Manhattan, first premiered in 2022. It centers around Mauricio Umansky and his staff at The Agency, which included his daughters Farrah Brittany and Alexia Umansky.

According to Deadline, sources close to the news cite low viewing numbers as the reasoning behind the cancellation versus production cost.

Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills put the marriage struggles of Umansky and his wife Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) front and center. Umansky openly talked about his marital woes on camera, with Richards even appearing several times on the show.

Umansky’s issues with his brother-in-law, Rick Hilton, also came to a head in Season 2, resulting in The Agency’s formation.

Also, another one of Umansky’s daughters (Sophia) joined the series in Season 2 to follow Umansky’s footsteps in the family business. Farrah Brittany, Alexia Umansky, and Sophia Umansky became a dominating trio, working together to protect the family business from outside partners such as Michelle Schwartz.

Buying Beverly Hills was produced by Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios and Just Entertainment.

It was executive produced by Brent Montgomery, Pam Healey, Will Nothacker, Justin W. Hochberg, Liz Fine, Adam Sher, Deanna Markoff, Ed Simpson, and Luke Neslage.

There has been no word on whether or not the series will be shopped to other outlets.
