It Ends With Us has just barely hit theaters and fans are already itching for the big-screen adaptation of author Colleen Hoover‘s hit novel Verity.

Hoover appeared on Thursday night’s (Aug. 8) episode of Watch What Happens Live, where a virtual fan asked for an update on the upcoming film.

“Well, I just read the script. I’m super excited about it,” Hoover revealed. “And we’re having actor talks next week. So we’re in the thick of it — in the thick of beginning this process.”

As for whether she has any actors in mind to play Verity, Lowen and Jeremy, Hoover said she has “no idea.”

“They sent me an entire list of people and I’m just excited it’s being made,” she said, noting that she wishes It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar, who was bartending in the Bravo Clubhouse, could play every character. “He’d be a great Jeremy.”

Verity is Hoover’s bestselling psychological thriller that follows a young ghostwriter named Lowen who gets hired to write the next book in famed author Verity Crawford’s series after an accident leaves the latter in critical condition. However, not everything is what it seems at the Crawford home as Lowen soon learns Verity’s darkest secrets.

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked if Hoover had any plans to write a sequel to the hit book.

“A sequel to Verity? I don’t know. I haven’t written one yet. But I’m not gonna say never,” she said, joking that she’s currently working on her “sanity.”

In the meantime, fans of Hoover’s work will have to go to the movie theater to see the film adaptation of her 2016 romance novel It Ends With Us. The film stars Blake Lively as budding florist Lily Bloom and Justin Baldoni as her love interest Ryle Kincaid, whose abusive side is uncovered when Lily’s first love Atlas (Sklenar) reappears in her life.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
