As any fan of The View knows, there are a few key rules on the show, but none bigger than Whoopi Goldberg‘s refusal to ever say the name Donald Trump. However, Thursday’s guest Chris Sununu didn’t seem so familiar with Goldberg’s golden rule.

Moments after welcoming the New Hampshire governor onto today’s show, Goldberg couldn’t escape the topic of Trump, but she found her way around uttering his name.

“We’ve been talking about You Know Who and his performance—” she said, before Sununu cut in to remark,”I love that he’s like Voldemort. Like you don’t mention the name.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin replied, “She hasn’t said his name in years,” as Goldberg echoed, “I never say his name.”

When there was a second of silence, Joy Behar of course cracked a joke, telling the table, “She said it once and she was struck by lightning.”

But Goldberg took the material one step further when she quipped, “It’s true. I turned black!” while looking around the audience in mock surprise. She then smiled, pointed to her nose and raised her hands.

Meanwhile, Sunny Hostin couldn’t contain her glee on the other side of the table. Grinning, she pointed toward Goldberg and exclaimed, “Ding, ding, ding!”

This morning’s memorable Trump moment comes not long after Goldberg accidentally broke her own rule and said the former president’s name on a June episode of the show. While discussing Trump’s request that President Joe Biden take a drug test before the two debated, Goldberg said, “I think it would be remiss of us to not say, Joe Biden knows how to do this. He knows how to do this, he’s quite good at this. And you can’t refute anything with him, because he just — when I say him, I mean, uh,” before Behar prompted, “Trump.”

Goldberg then repeated, “Trump. He tends to just—” as she made a circular motion with her arm. Once she realized what she’d just said, Goldberg exclaimed “ugh,” with a look of disgust, and mock spit into the empty space below.

When Hostin asked, “Did you say his name?” Goldberg admitted, “I said his name,” but offered an excuse: “It was a trick and it made me do it.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
