Movie studios are doing everything they can to hold us over until Halloween, like releasing the new paranormal horror film Oddity, which is coming to theaters this week. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this spooky flick!

Starring Gwilym Lee, Oddity takes place one year after a woman named Dani is brutally murdered in the home she and her husband were renovating. Determined to solve the case, Dani’s blind twin sister, who also happens to be a psychic, decides to pay an unexpected visit to her brother-in-law and his new girlfriend with vengeance in mind.

So, where can you watch Oddity? Is it on Netflix? What about Max?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH ODDITY:

UPDATE 8/20/24: Oddity became available to rent and/or buy on digital platforms today.

As of now, the only way to watch Oddity is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, July 19. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon or becomes available to stream on Shudder. Read on for more information.

WHEN WILL ODDITY BE ON STREAMING? WILL ODDITY BE ON SHUDDER?

Since Oddity is being distributed in the United States by IFC Films, the movie will become available to stream on the horror streaming platform Shudder later this year. While a streaming release date has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate on when Oddity will land on Shudder based on Late Night with the Devil, which joined the platform four weeks after it was released in theaters

If Oddity follows the same trajectory, the movie could be available on Shudder as early as Friday, Aug. 16.

WILL ODDITY BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Oddity will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. While it’s possible the film may come to the streamer at some point in the future, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available on Shudder in the meantime.
