What Time Does The RNC Start Today? How To Watch The 2024 Republican National Convention

Despite the recent assassination attempt of former president Donald Trump on Saturday (July 13), the Republican National Convention will be continuing as originally planned.

Trump himself even announced on his Truth Social platform that the convention would be forging ahead.

“Based on yesterday’s terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a ‘shooter,’ or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else,” he wrote in a Sunday (July 14) post. “Therefore, I will be leaving for Milwaukee, as scheduled, at 3:30 P.M. TODAY. Thank you!”

The convention is a four day event that kicks off today and will make Trump the official Republican nominee for fall’s presidential election. The RNC will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a key battleground state this year.

The convention will host speeches from Trump, his to-be-announced running mate, and a number of others in support of a republican presidency. Here’s everything you need to know to tune in.
