It looks like Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively‘s fourth child is not named Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus. The actor teased on this morning’s broadcast of The Today Show that he’s “still waiting” for Taylor Swift to use their newest baby’s name in a song, much like she did with their older three children.

Reynolds sat down with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie this morning to promote his new movie IF. However, Guthrie couldn’t help but ask for a hint regarding his fourth baby’s name — and whether it’s featured anywhere in Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

“We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name will be,” Reynolds joked. “I will say this: we’re still waiting.”

He then quipped, “She’s a prolific writer. What are we doing here? And ‘lazy’ is not a word I’d attach to Taylor.”

Swift was the first to reveal the name of Reynolds and Lively’s third daughter, Betty, in the hit song off her 2020 “Folklore” album — which also happened to feature the names of Betty’s older sisters, James and Ines.

Lively announced that she and Reynolds were expecting their fourth child in September 2022. She gave birth in February 2023, though the baby’s name and gender have not yet been revealed.

Reynolds previously opened up about Swift’s use of his kids’ names in “Betty,” which is a song that tells the story of a teenage girl named Betty who finds out her boyfriend James cheated on her when her friend Ines spills the news.

“The names are the names of our kids, but you know, we trust her implicitly,” Reynolds said in a 2021 interview with SiriusXM, per Glamour. “She’s very sensitive to any of that stuff, and obviously the song has nothing to do with our kids other than our kids’ names.”

That wasn’t the first time Swift has turned to the couple for inspiration. In the song “Gorgeous,” which was from her 2017 album “Reputation,” she used James’ baby voice at the beginning of the track.

Oh, to be a Reynolds kid!
