One Chicago usually dominates NBC‘s Wednesday night lineup, but fans of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. haven’t seen a new episode in two weeks.

But in good news for the fandom, executive producer Dick Wolf‘s three Chicago-based series were renewed for the 2024-2025 season on March 21. A network press release revealed that One Chicago served as “the top three Wednesday shows this season in total viewers.”

While Chicago Fire was “averaging 12.6 million viewers” at the time of the release, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med followed with averages of 12 million and 10.5 million viewers, respectively.

In other One Chicago news, Chicago Fire actor Rome Flynn departed the series after appearing in only six episodes, taking to Instagram to announce his “curtain call.”
