Megan Fox Finally Speaks Out In Support Of Her ‘Love Is Blind’ Doppelgänger Chelsea Blackwell: “I Believe She’s Telling The Truth”

Megan Fox has finally come forward months after Love is Blind star Chelsea Blackwell became the subject of relentless scrutiny for claiming on the show that she has previously been compared to the actress.

As the series challenges its stars to date and take their relationships to the next level without any knowledge of what their love interests look like, Blackwell used Fox as a point of reference while on a date with Jimmy Presnell, saying she has been compared to the Jennifer’s Body star because of her “dark hair and blue eyes.” But the comparison drew the ire of haters and trolls everywhere once the show aired.

Fox recently weighed in on the controversy, telling E! News that she completely believed that Blackwell has been compared to her before.

“I did see a picture of her. A hundred thousand percent, people have told her, ‘You kind of look like Megan Fox,’” Fox said.

She continued, “So I believe she’s telling the truth and I hope she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her. Mine died long ago from being bullied for 20 years. So I hope that didn’t happen to her. Best wishes and blessings.”

Fox also added that she’s “never had more people text” her about something, saying, “Even other celebrities at like Oscar parties were like, ‘Do you watch Love is Blind?’ And I was like, ‘No, but I know what you’re talking about.’”

Blackwell has not responded to Fox’s statements, though she did share a TikTok of herself with the statement, “Life is unreal… Megan Fox knows who I am.”

Despite the ensuing controversy, the comparison certainly did the job on the show, as it excited Presnell enough to immediately ask Blackwell, “Can we get married?”

After the big reveal, however, Presnell did express that he felt like Blackwell “definitely lied about how she looks.”

But he later stood up for his ex-fiancée in an interview with Us Weekly. “To be fair, that woman didn’t say, ‘I look like Megan Fox.’ She said, ‘People tell me.’ But I heard that and I was so excited. So yeah, maybe my bad,” he said.

“She’s getting a lot of heat and she doesn’t deserve it. She’s an amazing person and I will shield her from all that s**t if I need to,” he said. “I can speak numbers to how she is as a person, and if they want to hate on somebody, they should hate on me. She don’t deserve it.”

Love is Blind Seasons 1 through 6 are now streaming on Netflix.
