Alias aired its series finale in 2006, but Jennifer Garner says she’s still “asked for a reboot [in] literally every interview” she does. And now, the 13 Going on 30 star still is holding out hope for the possibility, especially if a particular director would return to helm the project.

Garner appeared on Wednesday’s (April 3) installment of The Ringer‘s Dear Felicity podcast, in which she reminisced about her guest spot on the series Felicity and also her starring role as spy Sydney Bristow on Alias, per People.

Once the topic of a potential Alias reboot came up, the podcast’s co-host Greg Grunberg — who starred on both Felicity and Alias — brought up the idea of a reboot as a “feature” instead of a series. Another common denominator of the two series is J.J. Abrams, who co-created Felicity with Matt Reeves and created Alias.

With respect to a possible reboot, Grunberg eventually asked Garner, “You wouldn’t do that, would you?”

However, the actress proved him wrong.

“Are you kidding? Of course I would,” she replied. “If J.J. would direct? I’d do anything J.J. would direct.”

Grunberg added, “Me too. I don’t know what he’s waiting for.”

They also speculated how the original series would do in today’s “streaming era,” with Garner noting that each episode’s cliffhanger would serve it well.

“I think… if we had done 13 [episodes] and they dropped at once — especially J.J. and the writers were all so clever in the beginning, the way that every single episode ended with a cliffhanger and led you to the next episode…,” she shared. “I just feel like people would’ve gone bananas for it.”

Garner recently took on another thriller series, having starred in the first season of Apple TV+‘s thriller The Last Thing He Told Me. The show was even renewed for Season 2, although it was initially labeled a limited series, per Deadline.

Alias is streaming on Disney+.
