Christopher Nolan’s biopic—which chronicles the life of the man who invented the atomic bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer—earned a whopping 13 nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards, which is more than any other film. That includes nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for lead Cillian Murphy. Though the ceremony is still a month away, Murphy is currently favored to win in his category. In other words, if you care about watching the movies that win Oscars, you definitely don’t want to miss out on watching Oppenheimer.

Lucky, Peacock is making it easy for you, by streaming Oppenheimer this weekend. It may not be the way that Nolan intended his film to be watched, but, listen, not everyone has the bladder for a three-hour movie in the theater. When will Oppenheimer be on Peacock?

Oppenheimer will begin streaming on Peacock Premium on Friday, February 16. You will need a Peacock Premium subscription in order to watch the movie.

You can sign up for Peacock Premium to watch Oppenheimer with ads for $4.99 a month, or you can sign up for Peacock Premium Plus to watch Oppenheimer without ads for $9.99 a month. Both tiers will give you access to the movie. However, you will not be able to watch Oppenheimer on the free version of Peacock.

While there used to be a 7-day free trial for Peacock Premium, unfortunately, the streamer has ended its free trial service. So you’ll either need to cough up the cash or get a login from a friend.

What time will Oppenheimer be on Peacock?

Oppenheimer should be available to stream on Peacock Premium at 3 a.m. Eastern Time, or 12 a.m. Pacific time, on the morning of February 16. This is based on previous Universal theatrical movie releases on Peacock. That means if you’re on the West Coast, you’ll be able to watch Oppenheimer on Peacock as early as Thursday night… if you’re willing to stay up until midnight.
