Wolf Blitzer Appears To Throw Up Off-Camera During ‘The Situation Room’ Segment On Donald Trump

A clip of CNN host Wolf Blitzer appearing physically uncomfortable during The Situation Room is going viral as viewers are speculating that he was on the verge of throwing up while on air.

In the video, the strange moment occurs when Rep. Jamie Raskin is on the show to discuss whether Donald Trump will appear on the ballot in Colorado in the upcoming presidential election. As Raskin speaks, however, Blitzer seemingly becomes more and more uncomfortable. At one point, he even appears to gag on camera until they cut his feed, leaving just Raskin on the screen to finish making his point.

The bizarre clip doesn’t end there, however. A strange noise can be heard as Raskin speaks, which some speculated may have been Blitzer throwing up off-camera.

The show then abruptly cuts to commercial in the middle of Raskin’s comments.

Blitzer did not return following the commercial break. Instead, CNN chief legal affairs correspondent Paula Reid took over after announcing, “Wolf had to step away. He’ll be back.”

CNN later released a statement to TMZ regarding Blitzer’s health: “Wolf wasn’t feeling 100% while anchoring Thursday night. He looks forward to being back in the Situation Room and appreciates the well wishes.”

The host also released a statement on X, promising that he would be back on the air soon.

“I’m fine! Thanks for the well wishes,” he wrote. “I’ll see you back in the Situation Room soon.”

CNN host Poppy Harlow also wished him well in response to his tweet, writing, “Truly no one better than @wolfblitzer — we all love you and can’t wait to have you back with us very soon!”

It is unclear when Blitzer is expected to return to the broadcast.
