Denise Richards was the talk of the town following her highly anticipated return to the 90210, when the former reality star’s bizarre behavior on Wednesday night’s (Nov. 29) episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills left social media users confused and concerned.

Denise starred in Season 9 and Season 10 of the long-running Bravo show, but ultimately left after feuding with ex-star Lisa Rinna. She made a surprise appearance in last week’s episode at Garcelle Beauvais‘ movie premiere; however, it wasn’t until Kyle Richards‘ THC-infused dinner party that fans started talking.

Before dinner, Denise explained to Erika Jayne why she would not be infusing her meal with cannabis.

“I don’t wanna eat that stuff. I’ve smoked weed twice in my life, and I’m good. I’m not gonna say who I did that with,” she said, before breaking the fourth wall by winking directly into the camera.

Once they all sat down at the table, the ladies wondered where Kyle and Sutton Stracke had scurried off to, prompting Denise to ask, “Did she have too much of the hors d’oeuvres?”

Despite opting out of getting high, the actress continued to laugh and make several exaggerated facial expressions, before slurring, “Well, you know what I’m talking about.”

In light of Denise’s peculiar behavior, fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express concern.

“WOA! This could actually be one of the most tragic clips for a #RealHousewives show I’ve ever seen,” one wrote. “#DeniseRichards return WT* is going on?  Very sad.”

Another added, “Was Denise Richards on something last night? No offense, she just seemed wayyy too out of it,” while a third person asked, “CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WTF IS  @DENISE_RICHARDS on ❓❓❓”

Someone else pointed out, “I love Denise Richards… but my sis looks CRAZY.”

Decider has reached out to reps for Denise for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
