Drew Barrymore has never shied away from letting us into her personal life — but on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, it was Ross Mathews‘ time to shine.

While chatting about the average number of times happy couples get down and dirty — which, according to a study, is about seven times per month — Barrymore grilled her trusty Drew’s News co-host on his sex life with his husband.

“Liars,” Barrymore responded to the “surprising” poll results. “We’re talking twice a week with a one-week exception of once a week. I’m single — I am not with anybody. You are in a happy marriage. How’s it going?”

Mathews giggled as he dished on his “great” romantic life. However, he did not agree with people telling him how often he should have sex to be considered happy in his marriage. After all, he said he’s “exhausted” and is “not sure” he’s “any good at it.”

“Of course you are good at it. I mean, not that I’d know, but I assume yes,” Barrymore said, to which Mathews replied, “Have you met me? I don’t really reek of a raw sexual magnetism.”

When asked whether he and his husband have a scheduled sexy time or prefer to lead with spontaneity, Mathews became flustered.

“It’s so weird to talk about,” he bashfully responded. “I don’t think you should schedule it. I don’t think you should say, ‘If we’re not every Wednesday and Saturday, something’s off between us.’ I think you should still be struck by the moment. Get carried away.”

Barrymore “agreed” with her friend, before deciding to conduct her own poll with the audience. While one woman raised her hand when the host asked who wanted sex “less” than seven times per month, the audience erupted into cheers when Mathews wondered who wanted “more.”

“Well, I am so excited,” Barrymore exclaimed. “We’ve got a bunch of horndogs in the audience. This is fantastic news!”
