The devotion of a Taylor Swift fan knows no bounds.

The popstar’s avid fans caused the AMC app to crash on Thursday after the singer announced that a concert film showcasing her historic Eras Tour will premiere in theaters on Oct. 13.

Swift broke the news Thursday (Aug. 31) morning in an Instagram post that has earned over 5.3 million likes in under seven hours.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” she announced alongside a trailer of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. “Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America!”

She added, “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged.”

The surprise announcement sparked a mad dash for tickets amongst Swifties, who previously caused Ticketmaster to crash in multiple countries when tickets for the actual concerts became available.

In anticipation of the high demand, AMC claimed it, “bolstered its ticket server capacity to handle traffic at more than 5 times the current record for the most ever tickets sold in an hour.” However, customers still experienced long wait times to even access the app, while others were met with a message stating that online reservations were unavailable at that time.

“#TSTheErasTourFilm has overwhelmed the AMC app to such an extent there’s now a wait to simply have it load… HER POWER,” someone tweeted.

In a press release, the theater chain detailed the steps they took to “ensure the theatrical event is accessible and affordable for all who want to attend.”

All U.S. AMC locations will have four showtimes a day from Thursdays to Sundays when the movie opens in October. In addition to that, tickets for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be available at a lower price point, with the adult ticket going for the low, low price of $19.89. An adult ticket at AMC Theatres typically goes for as much as $24.99.

Fans who purchase a ticket to Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour may also receive a free, official mini poster of the film while supplies last. They can also add on a collectible popcorn tub and collectible cup to their purchase.

According to Ticketmaster, Swifties broke the record for most tickets sold for an artist in a single day on Nov. 15, when over 2 million tickets were sold on the website for the tour. The site predicted that Swift would have to “perform over 900 stadium shows (almost 20x the number of shows she is doing)” to meet fan demand, based on the traffic Ticketmaster experienced that day.

Now, fans will get the chance to experience The Eras Tour on the big screen for a fraction of the price of a concert ticket.
