Ana Navarro continued to defend the Biden family amid reports that cocaine was found in the White House. On this morning’s episode of The View, the co-host slammed Republicans who believe the drugs belonged to President Joe Biden‘s son, Hunter Biden, who has publicly suffered from addiction.

At the start of the Hot Topics segment, the panel played a clip of White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre telling a reporter that it’s “irresponsible” to ask if the drugs belonged to the Bidens, who were reportedly out of town when they were found in the exclusive part of the building.

Joy Behar wondered why Jean-Pierre would “turn on the reporter” for not knowing the family was at Camp David for the 4th of July weekend at the time, prompting a snappy response from Navarro.

“No, actually I think everybody knew that because it was very well-documented that they weren’t there,” she snarked. “When you’re a reporter in the White House, you know the president’s schedule on a daily basis.”

The Secret Service ultimately ended its investigation after failing to retrieve surveillance video or any sort of lead. As a result, many Republicans blamed the mystery blow on Hunter, leaving Behar to ask if the situation is “more fodder for the Republican conspiracy machine.”

“No matter what the answer would’ve been, they were always gonna blame Hunter Biden,” Navarro responded. “They are weaponizing Hunter Biden against his dad as an effective tool to get his dad to lose his cool and to get his dad to feel the heartache.”

She continued, “It has nothing to do with Hunter Biden but you can hear that said 100 times and people who want to believe it, are still going to believe that. And there’s people who might believe that it was planted for somebody so that they could advance the Hunter Biden narrative.”

As far as nailing a suspect in “cocaine-gate,” Sunny Hostin suggested that it could have simply been left in the storage cubby by a visitor.

“We don’t know who did this. I’m thinking maybe it’s a tourist — a stupid tourist,” she said. “You’ve gotta put your phone there, you’ve gotta put your bag there, you gotta put stuff there. And so somebody just left their stash.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
