There were only two things on Kelly Ripa‘s mind when Mark Consuelos described his cold plunging experience on this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark — was he naked? And what did his you-know-what look like in the ice-cold water?

Consuelos told the audience that he attended a “beautiful little sanctuary” specifically designed for cold plunging — a new trend that finds people submersing themselves in a bath of freezing cold water for health benefits. He explained that he wore ankle-height booties, listened to “Hotel California” and was even guided through his experience by a woman.

“It’s very brave of you to dip yourself into ice-cold water in front of another woman,” Ripa slyly said.

When executive producer Michael Gelman asked what she meant by that, she replied, “What do you think I mean, Gelman?”

Later on in the conversation, Consuelos propositioned Gelman to join him in a cold plunge on Live. When the EP hesitated, the Riverdale alum reminded him that he got into “singlet and wrestled a big man” and was “thrown around” by a Division I college wrestler during the short time since he took over hosting for Ryan Seacrest.

“I got shot out of a cannon,” Gelman reminded Consuelos, who snarked, “Three decades ago! What have you done for us lately, Mr. Gelman?”

Meanwhile, Ripa felt the cold plunge would be the perfect way to exact her revenge on the EP after she was once put in “shark-infested” waters and placed in a “pen with a killer bird,” all for the show.

“He should go in naked,” she suggested, asking Consuelos if people typically wear clothes during the plunge.

Much to her dismay, her husband revealed that he wore a bathing suit.

“Oh, alright. Well, this is getting less interesting. Because let’s face reality: we all want to know what everything looks like in ice-cold water,” she said, to which Consuelos admitted, “No you don’t. It’s not pretty.”
