Bam Margera, who has long battled drug and alcohol addiction, posted a video to his social media threatening to fatally escalate his drug use unless he can see his son Phoenix.

Margera, who says he has not seen the five-year-old since March, said in a since-deleted video, “I haven’t seen Phoenix in two f—king months…I have to wake up every day, knowing that I probably won’t get to talk to him or see him,” per TMZ.

Margera shares Phoenix with his estranged wife, Nikki Boyd. Boyd and Margera split in 2021, per Page Six, after which she asked for full custody of Phoenix. Boyd legally separated from the Jackass alum in February.

In the video posted to his social media, Margera blamed his entire family — including his mother April, father Phil, and brother Jess — for driving him to drink and not supporting him or getting him him help. He concluded his video by saying, “I’m going to smoke crack with the bums down at the f—king boardwalk until I’m dead unless you deliver me f—king Phoenix. Get to work Nikki, or anyone that wants to help. I want Phoenix,” per TMZ.

Boyd’s lawyer David Glass responded to Margera’s remarks in a statement shared with TMZ. Glass said, “Unfortunately, that’s not how the addictions work.  People’s behavior does not drive others to drink.”

He continued, “This is a typical defense mechanism, and it shows that Bam may not have learned much in his past addiction’s treatment. You have to take responsibility for your own actions. Nikki sincerely hopes that Bam can first achieve and then maintain sobriety, for his own good, and for the good of their son.”

Margera’s brother Jess, who filed a criminal complaint against him back in April, also tweeted about the video. He wrote, “Can someone call the Guinness book of world records and have them add Bam to the #1 world record of blaming everyone else for his problems and playing the worlds greatest victim award.”

Earlier this year, Margera reportedly threatened to kill his family and punched his brother in the face, and then fled the scene, later turning himself in to Pennsylvania police.
