Hopeless romantic Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Candor) is passing the torch to her little sister Kitty in the upcoming Netflix series XO, Kitty. Anna Cathcart cracked up audiences everywhere as Lara Jean’s hilarious younger sister in To All The Boys I Loved Before. Now, the 19-year-old star is finally getting her own moment to shine.

Kitty’s diabolical scheming in the first movie led to one of the greatest romantic pairings we’ve recently seen in Lara Jean and Peter (Noah Centineo.) Now, Kitty will strike out on her own adventure as she travels across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend.

“I truly had no idea how much [Kitty] was going to change my life,” Cathcart told Tudum. “I had just turned 14 and at the time I was auditioning for a one-off little romance movie (that I absolutely loved). I was ecstatic [when I was cast], but so unaware of the incredible universe that I was about to enter.”

XO, Kitty also stars Anthony Keyvan, Choi Min-Young, Jocelyn Shelfo and Théo Augier Bonaventure. John Corbett will also reprise his role as Kitty’s lovable father.

XO, Kitty Release Date

XO, Kitty will land on Netflix on May 18 at 3:00 a.m. ET. But if you’re interested in catching up on the rest of the series, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and To All The Boys: Always And Forever are both streaming on Netflix right now. Jenny Han, who authored both books and co-wrote the screen adaptations, is also the creator of the XO, Kitty Netflix series.

Is There A Trailer for XO, Kitty?

Netflix just released the official trailer for the To All The Boys spinoff series.

It shows Kitty getting accepted into the Korean Independent School of Seoul, the school her deceased mother attended when she was younger, and the school her love interest and pen pal Dae attends now. But when she finally meets Dae in Seoul, love doesn’t turn out to be as easy as she once thought.

The stylish show already looks reminiscent of K-dramas and the To All The Boys series. And Cathcart has already proved her leading lady chops, even as a supporting character in the movies.
