After two long years, 20th Century Studios finally announced a release date for the highly anticipated Vacation Friends sequel, which brings back OG stars John Cena, Meredith Hagner, Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji for yet another chaotic vacation.

The second installment is set to premiere on Friday, Aug. 25 on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ under the Star banner, according to Deadline.

The original movie — which came out in August 2021 and held the record for Hulu’s biggest opening weekend until the release of Prey — follows straight-laced couple Marcus (Howery) and Emily (Orji) as they take a vacation in Mexico. When their room floods and carefree couple Ron (Cena) and Kyla (Hagner) witness their engagement from the hotel lobby, they invite them to stay in their room, where a wild trip ensues. And things get even more hairy months later when Ron and Kyla show up to Marcus and Emily’s wedding unannounced.

Taking place a few months after its predecessor, the Vacation Friends sequel sees the newly-married couple inviting their new BFFs on vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort. While he hopes to meet the owners of the hotel to bid on a Chicago construction site, the movie takes a chaotic turn when Kyla’s incarcerated father (Steve Buscemi) shows up unannounced to stir the pot.

The buddy comedy — which will again be directed by Clay Tarver — will also feature Carlos Santos, Ronny Chieng and Jamie Hector.

Get ready to experience Vacation Friends Round 2 when it drops on Hulu on Aug. 25.
