Drew Barrymore may be reuniting with her “cinematic soulmate” Adam Sandler sooner than we think. Just following the 25th anniversary of The Wedding Singer, the talk show host revealed she and Sandler are “actively seeking” out a new project to work on together.

During today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Barrymore and her Drew’s News co-host Ross Mathews discussed Tom Hanks and Robin Wright‘s upcoming movie Here — which brings the two actors together for the first time since they starred in Forrest Gump almost 30 years ago.

“I love when people we love in movies re-team for a new movie,” Mathews said before asking our one burning question. “So I’m gonna ask you on behalf of everyone: you and Adam Sandler. Are we doing another one?”

Barrymore disclosed that she and Sandler are “definitely talking about it,” to which an excited Mathews added, “Wait, you guys this is breaking news. There’s actual conversations happening?”

The actress continued, “There’s conversations to find the thing. I think it’s very script-story-specific. And yeah, we’re actively seeking the right thing. I’ll just leave it at that.”

It’s been nearly 10 years since we’ve seen Barrymore and Sandler on the big screen together. Their first movie, The Wedding Singer, was released in 1998, followed by 50 First Dates (2004) and Blended (2014).

Despite the unholy amount of time it’s been, the duo has proven time and time again that their friendship is still going strong. In fact, Sandler even appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show back in December, where he and Barrymore revealed that she didn’t hear the actor’s songs “Grow Old With You” from The Wedding Singer and “Forgetful Lucy” from 50 First Dates until they filmed the scenes.

She added that her on-camera expression was her “reaction on film for the first time.”
