The royal highness is back, your majesty. Netflix‘s hit series The Crown returns next month with new actors portraying Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, Prince Phillip, and more. While these fresh faces have big shoes to fill, the streamer’s first look at the new season promises to bring dazzling outfits and tons of drama!

The forthcoming season of the Emmy Award-winning series will continue to dive into Queen Elizabeth II’s personal life and political reign, this time, taking place in the rebellious 90s – a period of marital troubles, sordid rumors, and political unrest. Imelda Staunton, who played Professor Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, ditches her pink cape for satin dresses and signature brooches as she newly steps into the role of Queen Elizabeth, previously portrayed by Olivia Colman.

And Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki inherit the roles of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, during a tumultuous time in their marriage which led to a very-public split and Diana’s infamous rebrand.

The new season will hit the streamer on November 9, 2022 with 10 episodes, created and written by Peter Morgan, and executive produced by Morgan, Suzanne Mackie, Andy Harries, Stephen Daldry, Matthew Byam Shaw, Robert Fox, and Jessica Hobbs. Along with Staunton, West, and Debicki, the cast continues with Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Jonny Lee Miller as John Major, Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed, and Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed.

Previous seasons of The Crown have been praised for their exaggerated drama and fearlessness in criticizing the British royals, but nobody knows how far this upcoming season will go (and Netflix better be careful because the Diana stans out there are ruthless). All that said, let’s take a first look at the new season! First up is Imelda Staunton and Jonathan Pryce dressed to their finest as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip.

And then we have Olivia Williams and Dominic West as long-time friends/on-and-off lovers Camilla and Prince Charles getting cozy, or something. (Prince Charles allegedly cheated on Diana with Camilla during their marriage.)

…and now, here’s Johnny Lee Miller as the conservative Prime Minister John Majors. Anybody excited for this guy?
