She’s got a lot of awesome things in store so be sure to remember her name as you give it up for your latest WCW, the terrific Emeraude Toubia!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Emeraude Toubia

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Toubia stars as Lily Diaz in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video Original title With Love, which premieres on the platform this Friday, December 17th. The romantic-comedy series follows siblings Lily (Toubia) and Jorge Diaz (Mark Indelicato), who are both on a mission to find love and purpose in their lives. Throughout the series’s five one hour-long episodes, the Diaz siblings cross paths with various, seemingly unrelated residents of their family’s hometown of Portland, Oregon during the heightened and hectic times that are the holidays. The show also features Rome Flynn, Isis King, Rome Flynn, Desmond Chiam, Constance Marie,  Benito Martinez, and Benito Martinez. Make sure to check out Toubia and the rest of the cast’s fantastic work on With Love as soon as it drops this week.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Toubia’s onscreen debut was back in 1999, when she appeared on an episode of Televisa children’s show El Mundo de los Niños at the young age of 10. Nearly a decade later she was finishing high in reality competition series and pageants like Univision’s Nuestra Belleza Latina, NuvoTV’s Model Latina, and Miss Texas USA before getting back into more television acting work beginning in 2010 with an appearance in an episode of Telemundo telenovela Aurora. From there, Toubia began showing off her range and proving that she had what it took to be a leading lady with main or recurring roles in shows like Nickelodeon Latin America youth telenovela 11-11: En mi cuadra nada cuadra in 2013, Venevision and Univision telenovela Cosita linda in 2014, and Venevision telenovela Voltea pa’ que te enamores in 2015.

In 2015, Toubia had her feature film debut playing Esmeralda in action-drama Tattooed Love, opening doors for even more roles on screens big and small. It was just one year later that the actress would earn the recurring lead role for which she is best known, playing Isabelle Lightwood in Freeform supernatural drama series Shadowhunters, a role she maintained until the show’s end in 2019. Since then, Toubia has starred in TV movies 2019 romance Love in the Sun and 2021 family comedy-drama Holiday in Santa Fe, as well as in 2020 drama short film Rosalinda and the music video for her then-boyfriend (and current husband) singer-songwriter Prince Royce’s song “Culpa al Corazón.” Clearly, the actress has built up an impressive filmography on the way to honing her craft as a performer, and we’re so excited to see all of the amazing things she will be a part of and accomplish in the years to come.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Luckily, you won’t have to wait too much longer to see more from Toubia, as she currently has two different film projects in the works. The first is a drama called Ballad of a Hustler, in which a Brazilian man saddled with a six-year-old boy combs through New York City’s dark underbelly to try to find the child’s missing mother. The second film is comedy Like It Used to Be, wherein four best gal pals embark on a final road trip to Mexico after one of them finds out some life-changing news. Both films are expected to come out within the next year or two.

For even more from Toubia in the meantime, however, make sure to follow her on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and to check out her clothing line Love, Em. Never miss a moment from this week’s world-class WCW!
