All Eight ‘Harry Potter’ Movies Are Returning To HBO Max In September

Accio, HBO!

Starting September 1, all eight original Harry Potter films are returning to HBO Max, after leaving NBC Universal’s streamer Peacock last April.

The full lineup includes every adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s original book series: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2.

All eight films were available on HBO Max back when the streamer launched in May 2020, but streaming rights were only allotted for three months. The Potter octet streamed on Peacock from October 2020 to April 2021, and are now headed back to their original home. This news comes ahead of Sorcerer’s Stone‘s 20-year anniversary on November 14.

Other notable films headed to HBO Max in September include Mad Max: Fury Road, Mortal Kombat, News of the World, and Promising Young Woman.

As part of the streamer’s collaboration with Warner Bros., two new theatrical films will simultaneously debut on both HBO Max at no additional cost to subscribers: James Wan’s new horror film Malignant on the 18th, and Clint Eastwood’s Western drama Cry Macho.

A subscription to HBO Max’s Ad-Free plan costs $14.99 a month, and you can use the service on your computer or devices including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Playstation 4, Samsung TV, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
