When Will ‘The Green Knight’ Be on Streaming? How to Watch Online

Great news for cinephiles who don’t yet feel comfortable going to the movie theater in person: The Green Knight is coming to traditional video-on-demand much sooner than anyone expected. That’s right, in no time at all, you’ll be able to watch this gorgeous, ethereal film from your living room.

The hype for The Green Knight has been building for well over a year, but for those out of the loop, the film is an adaptation of the 14th-century poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, which tells the story of King Arthur’s nephew, Gawain. Written and directed by filmmaker David Lowery, The Green Knight stars Dev Patel as Gawain, a headstrong young man who foolishly enters into a challenge with the mysterious Green Knight. As a result, he embarks on an epic, fantastical journey across the land.

Fair warning: The Green Knight is far from your average medieval movie. Instead of clanging swords and rousing speeches, there are dreary, eerie, sometimes confusing sequences of suffering, fear, and pain. You’ll want to check it out for yourselves, and thanks to A24, that’s now easier than ever. Read on to find out how to stream The Green Knight online.
