Are you ready to relive your childhood with a sequel that’s not as good as the original? Then Warner Bros. has just the film for you: Space Jam: A New Legacy, which is coming to theaters and HBO Max this Friday.

The Tune Squad is back and more expensive-looking than ever in this standalone sequel to the 1996 kids movie Space Jam, which famously combined live-action footage of basketball star Michael Jordan with animated sequences of the Looney Tunes characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Lola Bunny. Now, 25 years later, all of your animated favorites are back to play basketball with a new live-action legend: LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, this new Space Jam movie has not been well-received by critics thus far. But even if it’s not a great film, there’s no doubt that ’90s kids will still find some enjoyment in this sequel that’s specifically engineered to trigger ’90s nostalgia.
