Just like that, we’re already closing in on the last days of May. But before you break out your summer pool noodles and beach gear, make sure to bask in the last Woman Crush Wednesday of the month. We’re covering a burgeoning young actress who is destined to make a splash with her latest star turn, so make sure to remember her name and follow along as she continues to soar to new heights. Give it up for this week’s WCW, the magnificent Victoria Moroles!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Victoria Moroles

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Moroles stars as Lupe in upcoming Hulu Original comedy film Plan B, which premieres on the platform this Friday, May 28th. The film follows Sunny, (Kuhoo Verma) a straight-laced high school student, and her slacker best friend Lupe (Moroles) who, after a regrettable first sexual encounter, have 24 hours to hunt down a Plan B pill in America’s heartland. The movie’s producers include Harold & Kumar and Cobra Kais Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and is directed by Natalie Morales (of Battle of the SexesParks and Recreation, and more), so between the talent in front of and behind the camera, you know you’re in for something amazing.

Plan B is already receiving positive ink and coverage from sources like Yahoo, which dubbed the movie “a great summer flick,” and Variety, which lauded both of its star actresses, with effusive praise of Moroles in particular, calling her “a magnetic spitfire” who “rules over this movie like the second coming of Ally Sheedy, with the vulnerability burned off and replaced by a fierceness so self-protective it becomes its own form of vulnerability.” Clearly, this is a movie full of performances and heartfelt hilarity that you won’t want to miss, so make sure to catch Moroles and the rest of the cast’s amazing work in Plan B as soon as it hits Hulu this week.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Moroles’s professional onscreen career began in 2009 when she played Wendy in action-drama short film Liberty Lane. From there, she racked up more credits in short films like The Wicked WaltzThe Faithful, and Maddoggin’ before breaking into television with an appearance in an episode of CBS forensics crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2012. She spent the next few years acting in series like Legends and Sleep Tight, as well as in short and feature-length films like The First HopeCloud 9, and Is That a Gun in Your Pocket? before making her big break earning the role of Hayden Romero in MTV’s hit supernatural drama series Teen Wolf, in which she acted from 2015 to 2017.

Since her time on Teen Wolf, Moroles has only continued to make a name for herself on screens big and small. She has had recurring roles on shows like Liv and Maddie: Cali Style and Here and Now, and has worked on more feature films, like 2017 horror Spook and 2018 fantasy horror Down a Dark Hall, over the past few years. With her latest work in Plan B, we have no doubt that Moroles’s already impressive filmography and career will only continue to grow, and we can’t wait to see all that she will accomplish in the years to come!

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Luckily, you won’t have to wait too much longer to see more from Moroles! The actress is set to star as Em in upcoming horror film Snow Falls, which revolves around five friends stranded in a remote cabin with no power and little food after a brutal winter storm, causing them all to slowly lose their sanity as each begins succumbing to a fear that the snow itself may be contaminated or somehow evil.

For even more from Moroles in the meantime, make sure to follow her on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to stay up-to-date on the latest from our wonderful WCW!
