‘CSI: VEGAS’ To Premiere In Fall 2021 With Original ‘CSI’ Stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox

CBS has announced a new sequel to the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, featuring some old — and new — faces. CSI: VEGAS will star William Petersen, reprising his role as Dr. Gil Grissom, Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle, and Wallace Langham, returning as David Hodges. The cast will also include newcomers Paula Newsome (Barry, Chicago Med), Matt Lauria (Dickinson), Mel Rodriguez (On Becoming A God In Central Florida) and Mandeep Dhillon (Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker). The original CSI ran from 2000-2015, for a total of 335 episodes.

While the CSI franchise has expanded over the past two decades to include CSI: Miami, CSI: Cyber, and CSI: New York, the new series returns to its roots in Las Vegas. A statement from CBS explains: “CSI: VEGAS opens a brand new chapter in Las Vegas, the city where it all began. Facing an existential threat that could bring down the Crime Lab, a brilliant new team of forensic investigators must welcome back old friends and deploy new techniques to preserve and serve justice in Sin City.”

Executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who also produced the first iteration of the show, said of the reboot, “I’m excited to be bringing back the CSI franchise to all our fans who have been so loyal to us for all these years. And to be back in Las Vegas where it all started over 20 years ago makes it even more special. We’ve enjoyed working on this project with CBS and look forward to welcoming back Billy, Jorja and Wallace as they join a new group of talented actors in CSI: VEGAS.”

CSI: VEGAS will premiere in Fall 2021.
