Did you really think we’d let 2020 slip by without a proper send-off? It’s time to carry on that New Year’s Eve tradition with the 49th annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show. While we won’t be seeing any shots of a packed Times Square or the faces of tourists wearing 2021 glasses, the ball will still drop at midnight as we say so long to 2020.

Ryan Seacrest is back for his 16th year as host of the event, which will return to its New York City home but will be closed off to the public and only accessible through the live broadcast. This year, we can look forward to over five hours of performances with some of the biggest names in music this year, plus the reveal of the very first millionaire of 2021, a special appearance from President-Elect Joe Biden, and more as the whole country celebrates at the strike of midnight.

WHO IS PERFORMING FOR DICK CLARK’S NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE?

Ryan Seacrest will be joined by co-hosts Lucy Hale and Billy Porter in New York City, while Ciara will lead the West Coast celebration and rapper Big Freedia will host the event from New Orleans. We can expect to see performances from Jennifer Lopez, who was announced earlier this month as the New Year’s Eve headliner in Times Square, along with Porter, Cyndi Lauper and Jimmie Allen. Other big names include Nelly, Miley Cyrus, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Maluma, En Vogue, Ella Mai, Lewis Capaldi and Brandy.
