Borat’s Daughter Meets Donald Trump Jr. in This ‘Borat 2’ Deleted Scene

A new deleted scene from Borat 2 posted to Twitter shows just how easy it is to get into the White House — as long as you’re a Trump fan.

The clip features Chanel Rion from the One America News Network, or OAN, bringing Borat’s teenage daughter (actress Maria Bakalova) into the White House — “No security checks or COVID tests needed, they boring!” Borat says. Bakalova gets a tour from Rion of the White House press room and is greeted with a group of other guests by President Trump, who is flanked by his son Donald Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle. The clip also shows Bakalova meeting and shaking Trump Jr.’s hand, telling him “I’m a little bit nervous, but I’m really excited to meet you!”

While the oddly lax White House security is the butt of the joke for most of the clip, it’s Rion’s blank stare at the end that’s the kicker when she’s asked by Bakalova, “Why is all the fake journalists for the left, and not on the right?”

The One America News Network is a real, far-right leaning news channel whose own press materials state that they are “fast becoming the 4th rated national cable news channel!” Ironically, OAN’s review of Borat 2, though mainly aggregated from quotes from other news organizations, features a quote from Baron Cohen’s New York Times interview in which he states that the film’s “aim is to make people laugh” while “we reveal the dangerous slide to authoritarianism,” a peculiar line for the pro-Trump site to highlight.

Neither Chanel Rion nor OAN have publicly commented on their appearance in the deleted scene. Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is available on Amazon Prime today.
