But don’t worry about researching where to stream what, because we are here to help you pick out the best movies and shows to watch right now!

New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend: Da 5 Bloods, Crossing Swords and Knives Out

This week’s lineup of new titles to stream has something for everyone. After months of anticipation, Netflix’s movies have a fantastic addition in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods that you can watch starting tonight. This war movie takes four soldiers into post-war Vietnam as they search for their fallen leader. If you are looking for a good cheeky comedy series then Crossing Swords now out on Hulu is perfect for you! And let’s not forget about one of the best movies streaming now on Amazon Prime Video: Knives Out. We cannot wait to ogle Chris Evans in all his sweater glory while watching this new take on a classic whodunit film.

New on Netflix June 12: Da 5 Bloods

Spike Lee’s newest cinematic masterpiece is Da 5 Bloods, and it is finally out on Netflix this weekend. Starring Chadwick Boseman, Norm Lewis, Clarke Peters and more, this war film follows a group of soldiers who return to Vietnam in hopes of finding the remains of their fallen Squad Leader and even some other buried treasure. As the men face the perils of the jungles they once knew, they are confronted by the lasting, harrowing effects of the Vietnam War, both physical and psychological. Da 5 Bloods has been one of the most highly-anticipated films this month, and we are so happy it has arrived.

New on Hulu June 12: Crossing Swords

From the creators of Robot Chicken comes Crossing Swords, the new original show premiering on Hulu this weekend. This animated comedy series follows the story of a goodhearted peasant (voiced by Nicholas Hoult) who lands a new job in the castle. But his dream position as squire quickly turns into a nightmare when he discovers that his cherished kingdom is run by crooked monarchs, charlatans and other low-lifes. While this show is a cartoon, it is not exactly family-friendly as war, murder and full-frontal nudity are played out through these adorable peg people; yet we love it just the same!

New on Amazon Prime Video June 12: Knives Out

Move over, Agatha Christie! Knives Out is a smart murder mystery film that takes the sub-genre to a whole other level. It centers on the mysterious death of renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) and the renowned Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) who is hired to investigate. But from the deranged family to the dearly devoted staff, figuring out whodunit is going to be no easy task for our debonair detective. Starring Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Chris Evans’ sweater and more, Knives Out sharpens the dated murder mystery trope with its witty banter, stylish suspense and a perfect touch of cheeky satire to make fun of the genre it masters. It may have been out for a while on demand, but you can relive the fun because it is new on Amazon Prime this month.
