We’re a little less than two months away from the launch of Apple TV+ and there are plenty of reasons to be excited. Yesterday, Apple provided us with one more reason to embrace the avalanche of new TV headed our way: a Ghostwriter reboot!

Originally premiering on PBS in 1992, the memorable mystery series followed a group of intrepid teens from Brooklyn who solved neighborhood crimes and capers with the help of an invisible ghost named Ghostwriter. How close will Apple TV+’s Ghostwriter be to the original series? Here’s everything we know so far.

WHAT IS GHOSTWRITER ON APPLE TV+ ABOUT?

Written and directed by Luke Matheny (The Dangerous Book for Boys), here’s Apple’s synopsis for the show: “A reinvention of the beloved original series follows four kids who are brought together by a mysterious ghost in a neighborhood bookstore and must team up to release fictional characters from works of literature.”

Deadline reports that the kids must team up to solve a mystery surrounding the ghost’s unfinished business. “Armed with secret messages only they can see, the young heroes chase down the truth — and become friends in the process.”
