Today’s event is headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship unification bout as the undefeated current champion Khabib (27-0) battles the interim champion Poirier (24-5, 1 NC). Khabib, currently ranked second in UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings, has dominated the sport, last defeating Conor McGregor in October of 2018. Poirier, who’s currently #8 in the pound-for-pound rankings, defeated Max Holloway for the interim championship at UFC 236 and hasn’t lost since battling Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night in September of 2016.

WHAT TIME IS 242? WHAT TIME DOES UFC 242 START?

Since UFC 242 is airing live from Abu Dhabi, the start time will be vastly different from past UFC events. The action officially begins at 10:00 a.m. ET with early preliminary bouts airing on Fight Pass (and ESPN+). Four bouts will also air on FX beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET.

The main card, which you can purchase through ESPN+, is expected to begin at around 2:00 p.m. ET.

WHAT’S THE UFC 242 CARD?

Aside from Khabib/Poirier, the main card features the following bouts:

  • Edson Barboza vs. Paul Felder
  • Islam Makhachev vs. Davi Ramos
  • Curtis Blaydes vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov
  • Mairbek Taisumov vs. Diego Ferreira
