“There’s a new Fast and Furious film hitting theaters soon,” is a phrase that you could have uttered at any point in the last twenty years and have been absolutely correct. In this particular instance, that Fast and Furious film is Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham. Hobbs & Shaw is the first-ever spin-off film for the franchise, and the first film without Vin Diesel’s character, the infamous street racer Dominic Toretto. (Don’t worry: There are at least two more main series Fast and Furious films coming with Diesel in them.)

As you might have guessed, Hobbs & Shaw is all about Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, Johnson and Statham’s characters in the franchise, doing what Fast and Furious characters do best: Drive recklessly, shoot guns, and barely escape explosions. Idris Elba also stars as the film’s villain, an M16 agent gone rogue; Vanessa Kirby plays Shaw’s sister; and Helen Mirren reprises her role from The Fate of the Furious as Shaw’s mother.

Even though it’s a spin-off film, it wouldn’t hurt to catch up on the first eight films. But how? Are the Fast and Furious movies on Netflix? Are the Fast and Furious movies on Hulu? We’ve got answers.

ARE THE FAST AND FURIOUS MOVIES ON NETFLIX?

There are three Fast and Furious movies streaming on Netflix: The first film that started it all, The Fast and the Furious (2001), the second film, 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), and the third film, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006). That should give you more than enough background knowledge to be able to jump into the present-day series.

ARE THE FAST AND FURIOUS MOVIES ON HULU?

No, sadly none of the films are available to regular Hulu subscribers, however, the first and third film are available to subscribers with the Live TV add-on.

ARE THE FAST AND FURIOUS MOVIES ON AMAZON PRIME?

Yes, but you’ll have to pay for it. None of the films are available to stream for free with a Prime subscription, but all are available for rent or purchase, including the more recent films in the franchise like Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), and The Fate of the Furious (2017). Most are $3.99 to rent and $9.99 to buy.
