This Woman Crush Wednesday, we’re finally opening our eyes. She’s already crossed our screens countless times in her short career, and now her name recognition is really starting to blossom. Ladies and gentlemen, Madison Davenport!

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Maybe you had been counting down the days until Black Mirror Season 5 and binged all three episodes on a weeknight and called in ‘sick’ the next day. Or you’re like me and are usually too scared to watch Black Mirror, but had to see how Miley would pull it off. Either way, you noticed Rachel’s angry sister Jack, and probably missed a few details while wondering why she looked so familiar.
That’s because you’ve seen her multiple times. The Texan actress is only 22 years old, and has a resume twice that size. Whatever your interest, you’ve seen her. She broke your heart as a child in daytime TV from CSI to Bones to House. She’s been a vampire, a conniving cheerleader, a lovestruck farm girl, and so many times a troubled young girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She’s even dipped her toes in voice acting for cartoons and video games. Not to mention the list of stars she’s worked besides. From Amy Adams to Emmy Rossum to Kyra Sedwick, she has kept in step alongside Hollywood’s most talented actors. Girl’s got range.
She’s worked in so many different genres that she’s managed to fly under the radar since she started acting in 2005. But wherever you watched her, she caught your attention. No matter what kind of character she’s playing, she tugs at your heartstrings. Whether a mourning teen in Black Mirror or a pining refugee in Noah, she plays any character with the same want in her eyes. The string that follows her versatile career is the compassion she evokes in the audience.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Davenport first walked onto my streaming screen as Ethel, the strange but sweet foster child of Kev and V in Shameless Season 2. If you’re more of an HBO streamer, you’ll recognize her from Amy Adams thriller mini-series Sharp Objects. She had a starring role as Kate Fuller in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. Davenport can also hold her own on the big screen, most recently alongside Logan Lerman in Noah or as Tina freaking Fey’s daughter in Sisters. She has had countless guest roles on multiple crime shows including Criminal Minds, House, and CSI. And of course, if you haven’t yet, see her in the latest season of Black Mirror in Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too.
WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER NEXT: She has an upcoming project in post production, though judging by her past, will probably continue to turn up everywhere. Next, she will play Meredith in Reprisal, an A&E revenge series coming soon to Hulu.
