If there’s one thing you need to know about Grace and Frankie Season 5, it’s that the show just doesn’t give a fuck anymore. Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) have embraced the “fuck it” lifestyle and aren’t taking any prisoners anymore! After embracing their feisty new mantra in the season premiere, they encounter a kindred spirit in the form of a shit-stirring pop star played by Nicole Richie.
Richie appears in Episode 2, a chapter bluntly titled “The Squat,” playing the always-in-trouble Kareena G (not Karina G). I won’t get into why or how she crosses paths with Grace and Frankie because spoilers, but I will reveal that she has a one-sided feud with Kristen Bell. Wow, them’s harsh words for the effervescent star of The Good Place! What’d Kristen Bell ever do to you, Kareena G? Are you that offended by pool gloves? It turns out the reasoning behind the feud is actually kind of a compliment: Kareena G just thinks Kristen Bell is too perfect.
Still, a feud is a feud and Kareena G can’t pass up any opportunity to stick it to her random nemesis. She corrals Grace (who isn’t entirely sure who Kristen Bell is) and Frankie into a video message for Veronica Mars.
We’ll have to wait and see if the real Kristen Bell retaliates against this fictional pop star. Maybe a showdown in the Bad Place is in order! Something tells me Kareena G wouldn’t mind it there…
