‘Tis the season to get EXCITED for the sequel to 2017’s Netflix hit Christmas movie, A Christmas Prince. The full title is A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, and not to be all *spoiler alert* about it, but there’s a lot to deduce from the name alone.
Oh, but there is of course so much more to it than just that. For instance: what’s it about? Well, you’ll remember in the first movie, the ambitious Amber (Rose McIver) took on a writing assignment that found her undercover in Aldovia, researching Prince Richard (Ben Lamb). A flirty snowball fight occurs and before you know it, the two are dancing together at the fanciest ball and falling in love.
Which brings us to the sequel! It’s a year after Amber and now King Richard got engaged, and although she’s still clacking away on her keyboard, she’s also preparing for a royal wedding — one that will be promoting her to Queen status. It’s kinda like if Meghan Markle was a blogger instead of an actress on a hit TV show. As Amber adjusts to life in the spotlight, she also gets to clash with her future in-laws when it comes to details of the big day. From the intense wedding planner to the dress fitting to the lessons of staying true to yourself, this Christmas flick is sure to be an instant classic.
Oh, and one more piece of information that might interest you: when you can see it! A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding will be streaming exclusively on Netflix beginning this Friday, November 30th. While it might be the second most watched royal wedding of the year, it’s still likely millions of people around the world will tune in to see these two tie the knot. It remains unclear if Oprah was invited to this one, though.
